Personally i fully agree
Its incredibly stupid that 99% of world bosses are worthless after s1.
However they have never upped their ilvl,something to do with padding playtime I assume.

They updated the chest from world events. It should have been easy for them to update the four world bosses as well.

now that gobfather only gives 1 thing per week per account like noone has been killing him the last 5 days when i’ve been around

The WQ was bugged and wouldn’t complete on any character past your first one, so people probably figured there was no point since you get no rewards other than a couple of Market Research. Not sure if it’s been fixed this week.
I agree with OP that the world bosses in the original 4 TWW zones should have the potential to drop gear at S2 levels so that it might be relevant if you get something. As it stands, there’s little reason to do them.
I believe that’s how it worked in DF as well, so I don’t think it’s going to change. There’s only one world boss per week that drops current gear.

They didnt update the world bosses in dragonflight either. The only time i do the world bosses is if they dropped gold, usually 900ish. the crests and valorstones i can get from other more soloable sources.
That’s how they worked in DF. There was only one world boss per week that gave current gear. During S3, the S2 and S1 world bosses still dropped old gear.

i’m not even seeing people do the one outside dorny thats worth 900g. There are like 200 people doing the drama weekly then they zoom right back to town after instead of taking that 1 minute zerg detour :shrug:

I wasn’t referring to the gear so much as to the fact that the WQ to kill the boss, which is available to each character, doesn’t complete on alts so you don’t get the WQ rewards which are separate from any once per week gear award. This may be why the person I replied to didn’t see many people doing it later in the week.
It would be nice to see previous season world bosses drop updated gear, but I do understand that’s not how it works currently.
They won’t make them useful again until or unless they do a fated season again or season 4 whatever you wanna call it.

I’ve never had this issue.
Fair enough, it’s been a problem for me and for some others I play with for a while. Often the TWW world boss quests won’t complete on kill, but if you fly away and then return it’ll complete as soon as you enter it’s “zone”. In Undermine it just doesn’t complete.
I did it on 4 characters last week, but only the first got the WQ completion, the rest got nothing even after leaving the WQ area and then returning. I assume it’s a bug, is what it is.

old world bosses should prob drop lfr-level s2 gear now, at least give alts a reason to do em
Because it’s bugged and not dropping anything for some people. Same with weekly caches not dropping keys for some people.
So I’m assuming everyone is holding off for now.
