World bosses should have a 1 minute immunity since players can 1 shot them now

I got bored went over to try to kill Huolon and he died instantly. I mean he faded in and was dead. I had my heroic throw easily bound and was spamming to target and it still died as my animations went off and I got no loot. And neither did the 20 other people standing there. A lot of them complained and left and some stayed to try again.

So I guess what I’m getting at is why are they able to be killed quick and the dead style?

The only work around I can think of now is maybe Warmode on/off level 49 timeless isles in Chromie Time.

It just seems like a massive oversight and since we are stealing 1/1 GW2 stuff let’s take 1 minute immunity to world bosses since that’s also a GW2 thing. I’m just saying what a joke.

Agree. Maybe just make all old world bosses immune to damage for 15-20 seconds (even 10 seconds would be enough), but hitting them counts as tagging them?

Yeah. So basically everyone who makes the trek gets a kill and gets loot. The current system just wastes your time unless you have lightning reflexes.

Spam an ability and tab or click is what I do but this requires you to know exactly where they will spawn and how soon they should be spawning which isn’t always possible.

My favorite is when people post in chat x is up, and not even 2 seconds later they say dead. Why bother letting people know a rare is up just to instantly kill it ?

I liked how they did the rares in Icecrown for the pre-Shadowlands event.

Careful careful. A while back we had a lot people losing their minds in a mega thread about not reporting the rare was up and waiting for my lords and ladies to get to it before engaging it.

On the subject of the thread. Yea sounds like a good idea to make them immune to damage for a short period once engaged.

They had a perfect system in the SL pre-patch and then just scrapped it.
I don’t know why, it’s infuriating.

i think that will be one of my forever wow-memories; 100’s of players on flying mounts waiting for the rare to pop. How fast we killed the boss that dropped the mount and bag.

I have no idea why Houlon dies so fast, at least Sha of Anger takes a few seconds to get dead, although you still have to be paying attention and make sure you get at least one hit in really fast. I assumed Houlon would be like that but nope, insta kill if you aren’t aimed up and ready to go with zero distractions. Meh.

Agree! Thought it was cool and gave you time to get there. I think there’s one rare in the sand pit area of ZM that’s similar to those from the Icecrown event, but that’s it.

I hilariously got distracted by my rare addon. I have old man reflexes I swear. I really tired but he just instantly died.

What a great idea! I ran into the same problem the other day and this would have combated it nicely.

Please send this suggestion into Blizzard and get a CC member’s attention for it they can post it when a dev might see it.

I really tried to heroic throw it, but it died way too fast. I mean seriously even if you have the mount just go there and watch how fast it dies. It’s nuts.

I believe you and agree there should be a bit of an immunity for world bosses

But after 1 min they will still be one shotted and only person can get loot.

No, that would be the opposite of how it should work lol. That’s how it does work sans the 1 min.

There are so many contrarian trolls on this forum but I don’t see how anyone could disagree with this.

My favorite is when something comes up, I post it in chat, some idiot runs up, sees two people waiting for more to show up, and then starts to kill it.

I agree, it’s bad enough that it’s like a .0000000000001% chance as it is just you know let all of us participate in the gamba.
