Shurrai, Atrocity of the Undersea, world boss world quest gets stuck and won’t complete. Usually flying away and coming back or waiting for the boss to respawn will trigger it, but with the NPC kobyss summoners required to make this boss active, these methods don’t seem to work. I had to wait for it to respawn, wait for the kobyss to make it active, fly far enough away until the boss popped off my active target, then come back to the boss area, and it completed. Flying away and back while the kobyss were still summoning the boss did not work.

I had trouble with shadowlands world boss quests completing last week. They eventually completed, but I logged out, left the area and returned and I’m not sure what triggered the completion.

Thank you so much for sharing. At least for this world quest, your solution worked for me, too. I’ve been experiencing this bug with world bosses and special assignment world quests. Given how much gold it rewards, I wasn’t willing to let this one slide with a simple bug report and no suggestions!
Given the parallels, if this reoccurs for another special assignment world quest, I’ll try this method next time to see if it’s a similar issue.

Just popping in to say this bug is still in the game and appears to have gotten worse. I tried the method mentioned above, and my kill credit was removed and I did not receive any rewards at all. I have to kill the boss again and hope for the best.
Still bugged here. Relogging didn’t resolve it.
Still bugged, sadly. Just happened to me. Killed the boss twice and no credit.
Still buggy. Killed Antros, said I failed. Flew back to the main area of Zereth Mortis and then flew back, still no completion. Logged out in Haven, logged back in, flew back to Antros, then the world quest completed
world boss in hollowfall is bugged/glitched the quest vanishes when the boss spawns and the boss auto despwans after a few seconds
I have the same problem, i killed the boss twice and it never gave me the reward

Yep still a thing. Not only is the boss not there half the time, when you do kill him you get credit but no completion.
