Trying to gather more information to support or oppose speculation that’s been circulating my guild, after observing this past week’s world boss spawns. Looking for help from the rest of you!
On Whitemane, we’ve seen a total of 5 spawns: 1 Azuregos, and 4 Kazzaks. One of each was the forced spawn that every server received on the first day of world bosses; the other three were during a normal spawn or respawn cycle.
The total number of spawns we’ve received on Whitemane is NOT in line with what we expected, based on what the spawn windows were in retail Vanilla. Either the spawn windows have been changed for Classic, or are BUGGED. Our theory is that they’re bugged right now. We’re speculating that both bosses SHARE a spawn timer, and only one of them can spawn (you get a 50/50 which one it is). This theory would explain why we’ve seen two fewer Azuregos’ than we should have by now, given the way the spawn timers worked in retail Vanilla.
So far, info from other servers has corroborated this theory. My source on Herod said they’ve seen a total of 5 world bosses so far, as did my source on Skeram. Identical to what we’ve experienced on Whitemane.
Has any other server out there seen more than 5 bosses since they were added to the game last Thursday? Has any server out there seen BOTH Kazzak and Azuregos spawn between the weekly maintenance Tuesday morning and the restart Wednesday morning, OR between the restart Thursday morning and this afternoon? If not, then the spawn system might be bugged, and all servers are getting 50% less spawns than we should each week.
