Agreed, I don’t quite understand the desire to obtain items - either IRL or in video games - solely to lord them over others. And in the same vein, see those items as worthless (regardless of acquisition method) just because they may become easier for others to also earn or receive.
Isn’t it a lot more fun to just go after things you personally like and will enjoy having, and use often because of that? It feels like such a tiring life to lead, only wanting things to lord over others.

I have all the Pandaria World Boss mounts, other than another number in the collection, they don’t matter like 99% of all mounts people use

you really think someone wants to pay a sub fee to log in everyday to get the ruhkmar mount when they can just unsub and wait for the WoD remix event and get the mount for free?

or for the fact that the evokers got them on 100% drop rate when they was first released for about a few hrs
Not in the slightest because it took about 2~ minutes of my life. Good thing I got it this way so I won’t need to farm the 30k+ bronze for it now.

that wasn’t exactly “on a whim”, that was a determined effort to farm the mount.
I mean, I do things on a whim all the time. All I have to do is be passing by or through an area and I’ll say “You know what? I’ll give this a quick try.” Maybe learn what “on a whim” means. That is asking a little much though.

Two alts? I killed it less than 3 times total across all characters since it was made soloable. I flew there on my main, learned Pandaria engineering so I could use the portal to Pandaria, then flew over, saw two people sitting there, it spawned, we slapped it, and I left. If you’re confused by the picture, I use RP addons (hence why my name is red in local chat text), the screenshot measure about 20~ seconds of real-time passing.
And as Kentaurus said, learn what the word means before trying to twist it.

Getting it as a drop for one shotting a boss is free, getting it with a currency is not free but you do you. You can be as salty about it as you like, it isn’t going to change and it doesn’t need to change. It is good to give options for these old content mounts.

I got some work to do but it was Ok, except for the hot temperature of these days…
it’s really bad to have these mounts on a vendor because now it shows people that if they want a rare mount, they should not spend time trying to farm it, they will just wait for the Remix of that expansion.
like everyone who wants rustfeather’s mount? don’t spend your money subbing to the game to farm it every day, just wait for BFA remix and you’re good to go and get it for free.
world of warcraft population will decline because of this.
