World Boss Loot is Warbound Now?

Hey All! Sorry for the dumb question but when did World Boss loot drop warbound stuff now? For example on this toon which is my main as I don’t really use alts anymore, I got boots off the new World Boss but it gave me the mail ones which I can’t use. I know basic loot out in the world can be warbound but didn’t know loot like this can be also. This was the first time this happened to me so that is why I am asking.

Is there a way to turn that off because now I am out a big upgrade and it will just sit in my warband storage now heh.?

edit: I am referring to the weekly World Boss that changes locations weekly. This week was in Undermine for the new world boss.

I would also like to know this. I don’t do alts outside of occasionally wanting to level something else while listening to podcasts. I absolutely don’t do endgame stuff with alts. I did the world boss and got a useless plate chest on my hunter.

I’d frankly prefer to get nothing like it was before than get gear for another class.

Okay so it just started? I haven’t gotten world boss loot in quite awhile so was stoked when i got something only to see it warbound and mail which I can’t use. I hope the raids aren’t like this either.

I got 640 something warbound cloth boots on my Druid. Better than the usual nothing I suppose.

I mean, it is cool they did this but wish we could have the option to not drop warbound items off World Bosses (and raids) since that just makes the RNG even worse now as you may win an item but now you have to hope it is for your actual character you are on (for people like me who don’t really play alts).

World bosses don’t drop anything this expansion.

I would guess there are two separate rolls. One to get a warbound item and one to get an item for yourself.

You’d have to be lucky enough to get both at once to prove it though.

The new World Boss in Undermine does. I got the 642 boots. I am referring to weekly one.

It’s definitely an improvement if you have a lot of alts. My warlock got one pc. of champ gear from a world boss last season. My mage got one pc of world boss loot in Dragonlight in Zaralek Caverns. That’s how infrequently it dropped.

But I assume it’s not farmable on multiple alts.

Same. Got 642 Mail armor for my Plate wearer. I’d rather just get gold or something.

they have always been very reluctant to drop anything for me. it’s frustrating on alts.

Your first kill is guaranteed to drop a piece of champ level warbound gear. Once per account and that’s it. So killing it again on alts will not drop more gear.

I consider this a win as last season I’d kill the world boss on multiple characters every week and I don’t recall ever getting gear, like even once.

They used to have like a 90% drop rate for me in previous expansions, this expansion they seem to be stingy towards me.

they’ve always been like this for me. i can generally count on one piece per season across my entire account.

Sure. A win for people who use alts. What about those who don’t? That is why I wish there was a way to either turn it on or off for warbound loot like they do when you can select your spec for preferred drops.
