That sounds pretty standard. They usually don’t upgrade world boss’ loot when they release a new content patch. They want you doing the new and shiny WB for new and shiny loot.

Fairly certain its by design. Only the Gobfather World Boss grants SE 2 gear, the rest from the way I understand it is SE 1. Same with the chest for completing the weekly Storm event on the Siren Isles for that matter.

Not a bug, that is standard. It was like that with Shadowlands and Dragonflight. Previous season world bosses stay as previous season world bosses. Unless Blizzard does something like the fated / awakened seasons. At which point the World bosses that match the fated / awakened raid that week was scaled up the fated / awakened season rewards

If you want S2 gear, kill Gobfather in Undermine.
They didn’t refresh previous patch world boss loot until Fated/Awakened seasons started becoming a thing, so I wouldn’t expect them to do so now outside of those.
That’s the S1 world boss.
If you want S2 gear, you need to go to the undermine boss.
That is standard. The world bosses drop gear in relation to their season. The only time this changes is when we have S4 and everything is “Fated”

Weird, I remember in DF, all the content was dropping season-relevant gear, like the Suffusion Camp, the Dream content, etc was all dropping current season gear.
I’d get a character to 70 and get 460-480 out of all of that content even though that content released on different seasons.
They scaled some of the world content, yeah. Just not the world bosses until season 4. I really appreciated that, too. It was extra chances at gear for my alts.
They should scale all content in all seasons, TBH.

The world bosses I can take or leave. I never really get much from them anyway. Now I’m at least guaranteed something with the one in Undermine.
