Working on mounts, Do I need to level all paladin races?

Title says. I’m close to my 250 mount achievement and wondering if i level a zandalari paladin/tauren paladin/dark iron dwarf paladin etc? (All allied races unlocked except for fat humans)

From what I’ve read; any Pali will do,
with Engineering and Tailoring as professions for the mounts that are that prof. only.

this doesn’t make sense. I’m asking if each individual paladin mount counts towards the achievement

My bad. Afaik it’s total mounts usable by a single character. A tauren can’t ride the belf horse.

I know this used to be the case, but we still sure? My lightforged draenei to my surprise can ride the elekk of the light or whatever its called, as well as the human charger.

Profession mounts count on all your characters. They changed this a while ago.

But yes you just need one Paladin for the AT mount.

No. Every Paladin is +2 or +3 if you got the Argent Tournament mount.

So as the others said:

You only need to level one paladin, who is also a tailor/engineer, also getting the carpet recipes from his Draenor Garrison.
Then that guy would have the most mounts.

Oh, wait, profession mounts count for all characters? Did not know that. But, even so, if you DON’T have an engineer/tailor that guy would be a good choice. Is it 2(both gyrocopters?) Eng mounts that are Eng only, with 4 magic carpet mounts that are tailoring only? So that would be an additional 6 mounts.

add 3 or 4 more for the legion class hall mounts

The mount achievement specifies that it’s for mounts that can be used by one character.

There’s no benefit to unlocking the race-specific paladin mounts.

The achievement is more than a little misleading, though. Since ALL profession exclusive mounts count for all characters, as well as ALL Legion class hall mounts counting for all characters, even though not all characters can use either.

Like others said, paladin mounts are personal same way warlocks are…making multiple paladins won’t add to the count despite different mounts. It’s a singular “paladin mount”.

doesn’t work that way, similar to how horde mounts don’t add up with alliance characters.

The answer is no, you only need one paladin

Well, the four Paladin mounts from your class hall counts on every character. They all do except the Druid’s because Blizzard never classified it as a mount like they said they were going to. So, if you have every class to 110, and you completed every class hall quest line, it’s +21.

I don’t know if it’s a bug they never fixed or intentional but I ain’t complaining.

Faction can also matter depending on how long you’ve been playing. If you got the Horde chopper back in the day, faction doesn’t matter other than if you want to do this on an Alliance toon you’d need to pony up 100k for the Alliance version. If you never did get the Horde chopper then do this on Alliance since they can still buy their bike but Horde players cannot as of this time (due to copyright laws or some such nonsense).

Paladins can get one more class mount through the Argent Tournament too.

Apologies for the necro, but this is the relevant conversation post:

The problem is that the allied races only have one paladin mount, rather than two. Do they get shorted? Do we need to be one of the “original” races to get the max number of mounts on a paladin?

I’m assuming yes.

this is not gonna work…thats because only your paladin race active mount will be shown off as active mount for the statement, that plan is not gonna work.
