Adroi:
Negatives:
Low Investment - Players are far more likely to grief others since it’s only potentially one game that’s being lost out on.
Limited strategy building - Game depth falls overall and quality of play might drop and even lead to more degenerate play.
MMR Issues - personal MMR still seems to have some issues with how well it places players.
Still have to deal with mouth breathers, though it’s only text.
Adroi:
Negatives:
Perceived Strength vs Actual Strength - If you’re playing something that isn’t seen as strong, you may not get into groups. This may mean you end up playing something you don’t enjoy simply to get groups. Be it switching specs/classes or just playing a different build.
Meta Play - Games can get incredibly boring when you’re facing the 5th RMP or RLS in a row. As with the above bullet, why play with a feral when you can get a rogue? (Just an example)
Have to deal with mouth breathers. While I’d say more experiences will be positive, plenty aren’t, especially if you’re on disc and some rager screaming at you. It can take time to find good people and I’m not talking skill.
Grouping - You may have to wait for your group to be on which can reduce how often you play. As you get more and more invested, you may ONLY want to play with those people, which means you might only be playing a couple times a week or less.
Try to keep the thread on topic Adroi, you’ve got 10,000 posts nearly, surely you didn’t respond to a thread asking for a specific thing with the exact thing it asked you not to respond with, right?
No way someone who is 40 with 10,000 posts would be that bad at the forums.
