Work order changes not enough

Looks like reducing the daily public order cap to 4 has still done absolutely nothing for the drought of orders to fill for certain professions trying to do the weekly quest (my poor JC). Maybe we could tweak things further and add “Place a work order” to the quest criteria? Drive up engagement a bit more, idk I’m not a professional designer or econ nerd but for JC at least there’s just not enough work to go around without farming for/breaking my bank for the Lariat recipe.

Send em from your alts. Also weekends, there were tons of orders up this weekend.

The biggest change I’d like to see is them add crafting levels to the weeklies, that way people can hit level cap on their professions without spamming chat for work/spamming refresh at a station for hours on end.

People can still at least put in crafting orders to their alts for the weekly.

As for most of the requests being raid recipes… I cant really help there. The prices are dropping as the raids are already on farm for a lot of guilds, so eventually trickle down will happen on them.

If there’s a quest to place a public order weekly people are just gonna fill it with garbage (easiest thing to craft / least amount of mats needed) so this doesn’t really solve anything.

IMO, public orders aren’t the problem, it’s the proffs themselves. There should be a way for each proff to level to max without time-gated / BoP items. Sure, you don’t need 100 max but it helps a ton for a lot of things

I hit the cap for the first time on my scribe last night. Took me a an amusing long few seconds of staring at the screen in confusion to figure why I couldn’t pick up the last order.

Don’t know why anyone would think the work order change would help anything.

The fundamental problem is there is no demand for low tier crafts and if everyone has their own crafting alt that needs X number of crafts to level, there just isn’t enough demand to begin with.

There was a lot of cheapskate BoE orders this past week that didn’t want to buy off the AH.

There weren’t very many BoP orders that stuck around. I put up public orders periodically to give people stuff to do and all of them were completed in less then 3 minutes.

Use your alts to fill your work orders. Super easy, that is what I did with all of my characters. When you create a work order, just set it to “Personal” and type in the character name to fill the work order. And if you need, just use a guildie the same way.

Thats what I have to do for all my crafters but inscriptionist. My inscription character will only so often, not have any available crafts a few times a week. My problem with the system is it apparently will at times consume more orders than what you clicked on. An example is today before reset I had 2 available and after 1 craft had none left to help out another person that wanted an item crafted from the public orders.

Doing all the work, sinking all that time and getting ready to do a crafting order and you get someone wanting a 399 IL Plate boots willing to pay… 100g. Yeah, no thanks.

I might if I had an alt on-server but I don’t at the moment, and even if I did, that just feels gross

you know you don’t have to get it done on Tuesday - you have an entire week.

And no to ‘tweeking’ things so people can level up with no effort.

You are complaining about JC of all things - you don’t even need work orders to level up with that one.

I never said i was trying to level up, I just want to get the quest done for Artisan rep. And the problem is I check through the whole week and still don’t find anything I can fill, assuming there’s any work orders at all

odd - JC often has work orders sitting there on my server.

Someone will complete that order, I only pay 10g for people to do my crafting for me.

The requestor has the advantage here as people need say 20 crafts to max their profession (and some people want to stop others joining the market so you get max crafters doing orders cheap yeah your capped at 4 star most of the time but who cares about 3 ilvl compared to thousands of gold)
