More cannon than high elves with gold eyes. Especially one playing with fel magic.
Blizzard also gave the skeleton a tail⊠for some reason. Really the argument against it has more to do with people equating an absence of evidence as evidence of absence.
There are also these 2 concept arts. You could argue one is a cloak, but it is awkward placement in both cases.
The thing about worgen tails is that you can make them lore friendly with a single line. Thatâs it, all you need, one line.
The worgen heritage armor quests already have us interact with Goldrinn, the wild god who is the source of the original pack form, so just have him whisper at the end of that quest that âYou have proven yourself a champion among your people. Accept my blessing as you go forth into the world.â Wild God blessing = tail, done.
Itâd be the same as night elf black eyes at that point, unlocked for your account as an option
Hey now, letâs not be heretics here mate. The vulpera tail is like the most adorable little thing ever added to this game and even suggesting that it shouldnât exist could end up being punishable by death under vulper law.
You know I think itâs funny to this day people using the lore friendly argument when Blizzard itself clearly doesnât care about it anymore, like, BFA and even most importantly, SL, are proof that Blizzard will change DECADES of lore to fit anything new they make up as they go.
Cursed beings from another dimension, worgen only appear in Azeroth as the result of magical mishaps. True aberrations, they are accidentally drawn through temporary rift tunnels and deposited in this world with no apparent way of returning. Nothing is known about the worgenâs home realm, or even precisely how to spawn the rift tunnels through which they come. Worgen are usually encountered in small packs near sites of recent intense magical activity.
After Cataclysm:
Actually cursed night elf druids from Azerothâs ancient past, the worgen were released from their prison in the Blackwald by several tamperers over the recent years. Unfortunately, the methods of removing them from their prison do not appear to be reversible, leaving the insane druids unfettered and unrestrained.[3]
The original Worgen were upright humanoids who didnât need a tail, which is probably whey they never had any in game. Thereâs no historical reason PC Worgen canât have them, itâs just the traditional werewolf archetype didnât have a tail and is a carryover.
Okayish I guess, recently lost someone to covid unfortunately, so I decided to go back to wow to help distract me from it. But getting better!
Hey, that discord server for the people from the forums still exists?
I left all wow related servers I was on when I quit and I kind of forgot I didnât have anyone from there added to ask for a reinvite later haha
why would lore enter into it? wolves have tails. why wouldnât werewolves have tails? put a tail option on the customization screen. Docked tail, wolf tail, pug tail LOL.
I donât think that itâs a lore problem. I think the main thing is that it would take a lot of work and Blizz doesnât really do that anymore. Unless itâs required or almost everyone wants it, then it might happen.
