Hahaha. I couldn’t agree more.
Giving this a nudge.
Re-ordered this a little bit.
… would that be a b **** slap?
Not sure, but I’d love it either way.
Worgen already have the Most options. So let other races get some love.
I just want my worgen to stand up straight
If we didn’t get any of these things and just got solid true black fur and a straight posture option, I’d be perfectly, 100% content.
Even though I’d still love to have a worgen paladin and a tail.
Paladin of Goldrinn
Yesss! Precisely.
I don’t think adding class additions really fits in with customizations, and I don’t really agree that Worgen have any business being Paladins or Monks (but I know you want monks for the unarmed attacks).
I think we scored a major win with being able to modify our human and worgen models separately. That was something I did not expect that they could do, and I am really excited for this change. I had planned to race change my worgen, but I might just embrace the new improvements.
A thought about being forced into Worgen form because of combat… I still think that Worgen should embrace their bestial selves when in combat, but nothing is more irritating than finish off a few mobs, shifting into human form, mounting up, riding 20 yards and then being attacked by something you can’t bother to kill, and be stuck in Worgen form until you next have a reason to stop. Rather than have “in combat” be the trigger for shifting into Worgen form, I’d like to see attacking something be the trigger. That way, if you want to just dip, your bestial wrath isn’t evoked, you stay human (or worgen if that’s what you were).
Yep, I’d like the following changes, off the top of my head:
tail options and posture options maybe, I’m not that personally bothered
see if transmogs shoulders can be shrunk a bit, they look pretty dumb at the current size on male worgen imo
Change it so I don’t change from human to worgen form at the merest scratch immediately when entering combat or when coming out of druid form etc. Maybe just make it entirely voluntary most of the time and force the change only when you’ve lost at least 20% health. I’m mog conscious and find it annoying atm.
I second the wolf as an alternative to big cat forms, for all druids really. I do like the idea of using worgen form for feral and tank forms…
I’d like the worgen mount form to appear faster
I admit, I never really thought of the turning into worgen form on combat thing as a major concern. Having it be more optional would be great, though; I certainly wouldn’t complain.
I would also like if the worgen form was actually more of a proper werewolf form, to go with that - namely the hiding weapons. If Blizz had really cared, they would’ve let worgen have torn-up looking armor in worgen form the way that undead have/had torn-up armor around their bones that were showing, but they didn’t go that route, either.
Added another section to the list - more options in general. Scars, tattoos, ear piercings, etc. Other races are getting them, so here’s hoping worgen (and humans) get more of that, too.
If we have Rezan paladins, how difficult is it for a Goldrinn paladin?
Or just, you know, Human paladins who were turned into worgen but retained their powers of the Light because worgen have priests so clearly the Light doesn’t turn away from them - and why would it, after all, given worgen now work with the Alliance?
Of course, the same could be asked of many different things given worgen are just humans with a curse, but anyway.
I just want a paladin turned into a worgen, gosh darnit. The worgen need some other class that can tank and heal and DPS without having to turn into a bunch of goofy, non-werewolf animals to do so.
Have we talked about the separation of Human/Worgen form during combat yet?
That’s something else I would love to see. Some times you just want to rush in to battle as a human and stay that way for a bit.
I can honestly say that I spend 90% of my time in town in human form. Don’t know why, I just like the RP that you revert back to human form when you’re not fighting things. It’s more civilized that way.
That being said, I would love to be able to fight in human form. I like the human model and animations, and unfortunately can’t see them as a Worgen.
I don’t think it would be difficult for Blizz to do this, as they just need to remove the combat transformation parameter to the two forms spell.
Now, that being said, I don’t think for one second that the Worgen form should be a CD ability. Some people have said that, and I don’t think that’s the right answer at all. I think we should be able to freely switch between both form at will at any time for any reason.
If I’m half way through a fight, and decide that I want to turn into a Worgen, I should just be able to hit my two forms ability and turn into a big fluffy boy. No enhancements, no added damage, no increased stats. Just a purely physical cosmetic change.
They could even keep the animations the same. If you’re out of combat you get the long animation, if you’re in combat you get the quick one.
The ONLY caveat to this, would be using your Worgen specific abilities. These being Running Wild, and Darkflight. These would pop you into Worgen form and keep you in it for the duration of the buff. It would then be up to you to transform back into human form once the Darkflight buff comes off, or you “dismount” from Running Wild.
What??
Well, use a Stromwind human, if you don’t want to be a worgen.
I’d actually love to be a Stormwind worgen, personally.
No, I’m not joking. I don’t want to be Gilnean.
So, way back in time (Mid way through Vanilla) I created a Human Warrior. Loved it, had fun, shelved him, didn’t really think about him for a few years.
Come Cata, I dug him out of the closet, and started playing with him some more. He was fun. I had him as my second main. (Main alt?) Did a bit of pvp, learned how to tank. It was a good time. Did the same in MoP.
During WoD, he was the 4th character that I was leveling behind my Shammy, Mage, and Druid. I ended up shelving him again because I really didn’t want to do the WoD intro quests, plus the garrison Ect… all over again. I ended up taking a 1.5 year break from the game. My warrior sat half way through the WoD intro quests at L90.
When I came back from my break, Legion was nearly over (Argus and flying were already a thing by this point.) A few characters in, I decided to play my Warrior. A few more quests into the WoD starting chain, I decided to use my Legion 110 boost on a new Warrior. This one came with professions if you used it on a trial character. I decided on a Dwarf, because apparently that’s what I wanted to play.
And this is where I’m at. Here’s my Dwarf Warrior that I made during Legion. I decided a week ago, that I wanted to dust off that old Warrior as I had done so much on him. He meant more to me as a character than the one I had only known for 2 years, and only picked up half way through BFA.
So I used my Shadowlands boost on that old Warrior that was stuck on Draenor for the last 4 years. I’m slowly starting to gear him up to the same level as this guy. (It’s rough because I find it hard to play a less geared version of something I already have.) and I think I’m going to be making him a Worgen.
They’re just so cool. I already have 4 other Worgen. My Druid recently made the change earlier this year. My Warlock, Priest, and Rogue have been Worgen for a while now.
All of this to say; Worgen are cool, and worth the effort put into them. Hopefully Blizz thinks so too, and actually implements some of these changes with their customization options.
Why would I do that?
Some times you want variety. Some times you like more than 1 character model. Some times you want to see your transmog on a different character and see it used with different animations.
Some times you watch Underworld: Rise of the Lycans and see Lucian running around fighting as a Human before transforming into his wolf form, and think that’s really cool. lol.
