Worgen (running wild)

Anyone here think they should change the Worgen’s racial ability to run on all fours inside a dungeon at a reduced rate like Shaman’s wolf form or Druids Cat/Travel Form?

Call it running mild

I’m jealous that I didn’t think of this one.

Worgen racials are trash. Let it tun st 500% indoors

They should make running wild an instant cast spell, not something like riding any other mount.

I like Worgen racials a lot. Kind of underrated IMO.

If I could buff anything though, I would make Darkflight additionally remove any movement slowing abilities on cast. I’m not saying roots or any other CCs, just slows.

I will say roots, but not stuns.

Worgen have big, meaty claws on their hands and feet. Who would win? Actual daggers on your limbs or one viney boi?

Then if it’s a Worgen Warlock

Hot and spicy

I mean roots too is probably fair. It would be kinda similar to Gnome’s Escape Artist at that, but with a 40% run speed boost and double the cooldown length.

They should reintroduce Tauren’s Plainsrunning ability back into the game, but make it work just like Running Wild instead of the way it used to work.

Worgen get some of the worst racials, I think a buff like this is fair honestly.

I’d also like to see them be able to stay in human form in combat but wolf out on enrage effects… that’d be cool.

Worgen are a pretty underplayed race as it is. I agree that buffing Darkflight a bit wouldn’t negatively impact game balance in the slightest.

As for being able to fight in Human form, I don’t see that ever happening, although I think it would be a cool option. Blizzard IMO doesn’t want player character Worgen to have enough control over the curse to be able to maintain Human form while fighting (like Greymane can). I myself am in Human form 80% of the time I’m logged in. I use Calm the Wolf and only am in Worgen form while in combat.

I like to think of myself as a Gilnean Human, but with a curse that makes me go Hulk when I get angry.

Yeah I always imagined worgen have more of a duality, and the human part should be jsut as important as the wolf part, but sadly the human is just a gimmicy cosmetic that you can’t even use unless idling.

Calm the Wolf really helps out with the duality of Gilnean Human/Worgen. It’s not perfect (for example: Darkflight force shifts you into Worgen form, but if you use Darkflight while out of combat then Calm the Wolf will not shift you back into Human form once Darkflight ends, because Calm the Wolf only checks for exiting of combat) but it’s a super nice feature and what Worgen should have had back when they launched back in like 2010 or whenever it was.
