Worgen Druid Forms - It's about time

So now that we see Zandalari Trolls are getting their own druid forms (which is great) I think it's time to reevaluate why a Worgen would transform into a cat to damage things. Or a bear to tank things. We should be able to tear things apart in Worgen form. It would be like Bruce Banner transforming into the Hulk, and then transforming into Arnold Schwartzenegger to go smash things. Like WTF, why not just stay as the Hulk?

Obviously there are some people that love being cats or bears, so I think Blizzard should really add a glyph or quest toggle or something of the likes that lets Worgen choose to stay looking as a Worgen instead of their cat and/or bear appearances. Similar to how Boomkins can stay in normal form instead of having to look like a Boomkin. Same with Resto and Tree form. Not new models as those are a pipedream. Just the ability to choose to transform your appearance or not.

Now I know some of you will say "but the lore wont let Worgen stay Worgen form that long" but here is where you're wrong. Worgen Resto Druids and Boomkins, and even other classes like Warrior, Mage, whatever, are in Worgen form 99% of the time. So really it would make no difference if Feral or Guardian specs were as well.

This would go a long way to adding more variety between the druid races, and "throw a bone" to Worgen who have been horribly neglected for a long time. Not to mention maybe helping to offset the complaining some will surely do that Horde druid got it's own animals, but Alliance doesn't.

TLDR: Worgen druids shouldn't need to transform into cat or bears to tear things apart. Please add a glyph or way for Worgen to remain appearing as a Worgen when using cat or bear stances, similar to how Boomkins can choose to use the Boomkin model or their regular model.

I'm down, bring on the Worgen form!

Sure. Also add a Glyph to allow "Two Forms" to be on a toggle, so you automatically shift into human form when combat ends.

they would still need some sort of indication that they are a feral/guardian druid in cat/bear form. not only for PvP purposes but for player purposes as well (i can't say how many times i have thought i was a different spec because of using the same transmog in both specs, let alone how many times i forgot to use a druid buff because it wasn't automatically applied after death or something because my form overrides the bear/cat/boomkin forms)
Good suggestion. Please take note Blizzard.
And now there are talks of possible Kul Tiran as an allied race and that they can even be druids? This would just set Worgen apart from them that much more. Otherwise everyone that wanted a Human druid is just going to go play Kul Tiran.
I hope Worgen druids get some love with the Worgen rework.

I think lore-wise the worgen form is the most powerful form compared to the other two.
Hell I think they could do so much with worgen druid forms. For guardian, give us a beefier worgen form with gilnean armor. For cat form, I like it but I think I'd rather have a direwolf form or something that mixes cat and wolf a lot better. And moonkin form, come on if the zandalari are getting a vulture thing, we should get a raven thing!

This may be why the Worgen rework is taking a while?
Also considering Vulpera seem geometrically similar to Goblin perhaps the rework was better justified with the use of resource if they could pump out another race. If that is true maybe the Worgen rework will lead to another similarly shaped race (upright with digitigrade legs etc)

In that same vein it would have to be done for every other race that can be druids.
I've always wished Worgen could transmog their melee weapons off to battle with their claws like Genn. Would instantly become my favorite race regardless that it is on the Alliance.

Blizzard already said they wanted Worgen druid forms to reflect their wolfy heritage and their connection to Goldrinn way back in cata. Unfortunately this just meant giving cat form and bear form a mane, and flight form some pointy ears, which really didn't make them feel all that 'wolfy' or unique at all.

Plus, they never said they wanted to be totally lore abiding with this stuff anyway. You go try and dig up lore on werebear form. There's little to nothing. They just thought "Oh! Werebears! Cool!" and they put the artifact appearance in the game.

Imagine if werebear form was werewolf form and was baseline bear form for Worgen druids. Then their cat form could be a big Goldrinn esque dire wolf. And if they ever get to remodeling Worgen I'll take that standard form as moonkin form because I don't like the janky moon chicken anyway. That would make them feel racially unique from other druids and still be lore abiding for the most part I'd say.

So please, make it so blizz... But not until after you fix my ugly dog first.

I’d like to see Worgen Druids get full Wolf themed forms instead of the slightly wolf-like bear and cat forms they got... and if Zandalari are in fact getting their own unique Moonkin form (I’ve seen the data mined info, it isn’t solid proof, it could just be a new race or something unique to NPCs)... then Blizzard absolutely needs to quit being lazy about it and make unique moonkins for all Druid races.

This is exactly why I plan to use Fist weapons on my Worgen Rogue in BfA... the fistwraps from peak of serenity are invisible fist weapons. So my Worgen will be fighting unarmed

I'd welcome Worgen transforming into actual Wolves for their Feral(DPS) Form. I think Bear is still fine for their Feral(Tank) Form.
No chance.

This is to help sell the expansion.

Though I'm struggling to think how those Kul'Tirans are going to sell it to Alliance. They really need to do something better.

Anyone wonder why they so casually announce the next Horde race? Oh yea, it's Draenor Orcs, because you guys want that. They haven't said a word about Alliance's, wonder why? Maybe because they know a whole lot of people are ripping the race to shreds as a complete joke on the forums. Not exactly a selling point.
So....Saberon Form from WoD?
I want to be able to take the blindfold off, but my eyes will bulge out. Please help this poor worgen see again, Blizzard.

New Worgen druid forms would be amazing. Heck, across the board for all existing druids would be nice, I am all about equality. Zandalari druids right now, are just a tad OP in the art department. I don't want to faction switch, I put a lot of time into me. I want to stay me. I want me fixed! (Wait a sec, i didn't mean...no not the vet!)

Not really. Worgen are unique in that they are already a beast/feral type form, so staying as that form rather than going cat form makes a lot more sense. Heck, a Werewolf is a lot more lethal than a cat really. Why would a werewolf shift into a smaller and weaker form to slash and claw and bite things, when they could do it better without shifting? It makes sense for Worgen. Not at all for Night Elves, Trolls or even Tauren.

All I really want is to be able to go into cat form and maybe bear form, without having the actual graphic. Just staying as a Worgen visibly. Kind of like how druids can go Boomkin with the model, or stay in their regular model and go Boomkin.

Obviously as of the release of the new images of the Zandalari Boomkin and their dinosaur bear form and travel forms, they have a lot more room for flexibility now. I highly doubt they are going to go back though and redo all the other models forms. Dire wolf doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me though, I mean I get the theme of wolves, but why would a Human, shift into a massive hulking 8 foot deadly werewolf that could tear things to shreds, only to then shift into a smaller four legged weaker version of themself? They already were the lethal apex form.

Anyways, I'm not asking for new forms or anything, but I would imagine the ability to not have to go into the form would be a lot easier of a change.
