At the moment, it’s bad enough that the darkest Worgen human form skin color is tied to the least interesting Worgen fur color. They should separate Worgen fur color and human skin color for Worgen.
It shouldn’t be fur colors tied to random skin colors or fur colors that match skin colors. They should be separate customization sliders entirely, much like what they’re doing with eye colors and facepaints/tattoos.
And they also can’t turn into wolves anymore, despite Goldrinn being our ally… It’d be very easy to “fix” that “lore” the way that Blizzard changes and advances all the other lore.
I’d love to throw Shaman out for consideration, as well, but honestly at this point I’m all for unlocking tons more race/class combinations in general.
And gosh I have wanted worgen monks and paladins since day one.
So many non Worgen players like to tell us Worgen that we can’t have an optional tail cause its not lore friendly. Options are always better. Well if that is true then at least give us lore friendly size for Worgen. 8 Feet tall. Not the 6 foot 10 inches they currently are. We know 8 foot players models work just fine in game as Zandi trolls are 8 feet 2 inches. So why is it when it comes to Worgen we cant have options nor can we have a lore friendly size. One day I hope to see both issues fixed.
Same. I’m quite tired of feeling small. That’s one of my biggest misgivings about the worgen, especially the males. I mostly play male worgen and their lack of intimidating size makes them not feel very monstrous or scary, whereas the females actually get to be night elf size, at least.
With all these new customization options, WoW could really go a long way to adding a whole lot more (height, worgen tails, etc) and letting people make truly unique characters instead of everyone feeling pretty cookie-cutter, especially as compared to other MMORPGs out there.
I could go either way on this one, some want it, so why not? The animations already exist to support it anyway.
Yup, I’d like this.
DEFINITELY. Currently the ears are all way too long. The females look like goblin retextures for the ears. More variety in ears would be great.
Yep, claws should be an option!
I still want Night Elven Worgen as well. I wanna make my Night Elf druid into one with all wolf based forms.
Large dire wolf for tank. The more agile looking wolves for dps.
Wolfhawk for travel.
Not sure about aquatic.
Monk and Paladin works for me…I still think we need a lunar based paladin order based around Elune for Worgen and Night Elves. Order of the Dark Moon? Silver Moon? Maybe Silver, then collectively the alliance paladins could be referred to as the Silver Orders.
So far it looks like human and Worgen form customization will still be linked in Shadowlands. Not terribly surprising since I think they did say at Blizzcon that they aren’t going to separate Worgen and human form customization due to how the race is programmed.
It still would be a nice surprise if at least some customization options get separated, though.
Fur colors being linked to skin colors just feels bad in my opinion, though I suppose with the sliders they could just have the fur colors cycle through with each set corresponding with a human skin color, kind of like what they did with Mechagnome skin colors.
My feeling though is that they’re just going to link the new Worgen fur colors with the new human skin colors and call it done.
It is still alpha, so it’s clearly unfinished, but so far it does look like Worgen customization is bugged because skin color and fur color is still linked and it’s simply not hooked up right yet.
There is maybe a slim chance that fur color and skin color could still be separated in Shadowlands.
Regardless, I just don’t want the restrictive fur color and skin color linking that exists on live.
Even going the Mechagnome skin color route would be better than the current fur color and skin color linking, and I think even that isn’t as good as at least separating fur color and skin color, if not completely separating human form and Worgen form customization.
I really think it’d be possible if they actually wanted it to be; if they wanted to bother. Trouble is, I don’t think worgen ever were or will be much of a priority for them, not in that regard. It’s not much of a secret that both of the Cata races have been treated like crap since the moment they were first conceptualized…
At any rate, I really hope they do something about it soon. To me, this is a pretty big issue that they really need to address. I’m hoping they’ll see it that way, too.
