Worgen Customization Mega Thread

No, it’s calling you for what you are. You said you were done, you clearly are not because you feel the need to keep asserting yourself on this forum thread where you don’t have an argument to stand on.

There is a difference in being an adult about it and being immature like you have. The way you just acted, telling us all to stay mad, and becoming condescending, ignoring the points we bring up while still pushing your agenda… yeah no. You’re exactly like certain other VOCAL MINORITIES on this thread. Not worth.

And yet its what we had as a model for 10 years. The tail bones are already in the model so its rigged already all it needs is the tail to be positioned and animated. Thats not a huge thing to do.

real talk though, new customization is never a bad thing, and arguing against it with your own personal pretenses for how the game should be is pretty lame ngl

Yeah wanting lore consistency for your race is a bad thing.

While we are at it let’s add hoove-less Draenei as a customization too. There is nothing in lore that says they can’t not have hooves and walk around with regular looking legs so why not?

How dare you suggest those abominations

Being hellbent on lore that doesn’t even exist… There is nothing in lore that explicitly states that a worgen cannot have a tail.

Meanwhile you refuse to state your protests about other lore bending features coming in Shadowlands.

PFAHAHAHHAHA
Do you know what game you’re playing? Also, what consistency in regards for something that isn’t even brought up in lore at all? Nevermind that, Blizzard never shys away from retcons so long as it suits them.
In Warcraft it’s rule of cool above all.

You mean like adding Sand Trolls which are in lore? Yeah that is so lore breaking…

Dark skinned elves? They literally worship the freaking sun and live in eternal summer, you’re telling me there aren’t dark skinned elves? Come on. Also that is clearly an OOC reason Blizzard is adding those skintones because representation for real life races is never a bad thing.

That ruins worgen for you?

It erases everything about them for you? I’m sad your interest in the race is so small.

Dude Worgen are my favorite race, I have done the starting zone 50+ times, it never gets old. I am a lore nut for them because they are so interesting. Worgen have not had tails for 15+ years, so yes aesthetically seeing people run around in tails would be a little immersion breaking for me because I am so used to seeing my favorite race without them.

Like I said, imagine they suddenly added hoove-less Draenei, it would be weird and out of place.

Well, except the only canon example being admitted to be a mistake by its writer followed up by said writer saying that they don’t have tails.

And last we checked the writer wasn’t a dev. The only thing said was Genn Greymane don’t have a tail when she added one. That was all that was said.

Maybe you should go do your quests in Tanaris again and Zul’Farrak…

As I have stated, many, many times - There are a crap ton of official Blizzard mediums in books, websites, rpg games, etc etc that all specifically state that High/Blood elves are and I quite “uniformly fair in complexion.” Dark skin = pigment. The fact you you are now nit picking and saying this is OOC is complete utter bullcrap. It’s IC and it’s lore breaking. You just choose to ignore it. So again, you’re a hypocrite.

We’ve gone over this too… Christie Golden was a writer, not a developer at the time when she wrote Before the Storm. The devs are who control the content. The writer puts together the narrative.

To play devils advocate, hearthstone devs just likes doing things for cool factor and funsies. We got void lord anduin, murloc demon hunters ect ect ect in hearthstone.

Yeah but those are very blatant things and it’s clear the intention is to be from an alternate side of things.

You can call me a hypocrite all you want, I will even say I am, but that doesn’t change the fact that I don’t want to see tails because it is a lore breaking change to my favorite race.

To me you can’t compare Blizzard adding racial representation to make people more comfortable playing their characters and feeling like they are a part of the world to them adding tails for Worgen. It’s not the same at all.

hmmm some spicy conversations in here. Is this the new debacle that people will be serious about now. Instead of white skinned elves, it will now be…tails. People will now go crazy about wanting or not wanting tails now. Very interesting.

And that is your opinion and you’re entitled to that. I am not looking to change your mind or anything of the sort.

This isn’t about real life racism. This is strictly about the in game lore as to what is written per Blizzard’s design for almost two decades now. Dark skinned elves are lore breaking, no matter how you spin it. Giving worgen tails, is not. There is no lore specifically said in game that a worgen cannot have a tail. You can just agree to disagree at this rate.

So what? Worgen having tails or not also falls under lore. Whether or not she was a dev would only matter if a dev had said that worgen definitely do have tails. In the absence of such a statement her statement that worgen don’t have tails stands uncontested by any other official outlet.
