Worgen curse spreadable?

Can the worgen curse be spread to other players?

There’s an entire school of thought behind the worgen curse not actually being a curse at all & plenty of justification as to why people would willingly take on the form. It starts with most worgen RPing in their worgen form without taking into consideration their human form, and from there it normalizes.

You can’t convert another player through gameplay but you can RP the infection spreading. It is rare to see but people do it and buy race changes for it.

The worgen curse can indeed be spread to actual players. It’s called the player being a furry.

Yes, but the player might take not recognize it given the lack of required consent, inherent to a virus/disease/curse prior to running up in yo guts. But you whisper them and see what they say.

And if they say the wrong thing you rip their head off and eat them I mean what do they expect?

OMG Imagine a little button under War Mode labeled ā€œGet bit?ā€ and if you opt in (or maybe in character creation) you just… COULD get bit.

Now my creative juices are flowing theres something there. Something between a racial trait and a follower ability. Idk lost the thought.

This reminds me of Oblivion where the jerkface Count of the city I saved gave me a house outside the City Walls and the first night I slept in it a freaking vampire infected me in my sleep.

Something I will add here is that the Worgen Curse is exactly that. A Curse. What I mean by that is that it is magic, not a Science, and follows different rules for application. To fulfill the Curse’s requirements, people drinking the blood have to actively know and be aware they are drinking worgen blood to become one. So you can’t spike the Punch bowl at a party and turn everyone into Worgen. Not every bite is going to turn people either. It’s all about the symbolism in how it is done y’know?

Someone can be turned in-rp and if the player wants the curse to actually take effect, they’ll either have to race change (assuming the race/class combo will allow them. Worgen Paladins when) or level an alt that’s the same armor type.

They still have to undergo all processes of regaining control over themselves, and with the Scythe of Elune being gone this leaves how that goes largely up to the players to figure out how that goes. I’ve looked at Curse of the Worgen and the starting zone for ideas in the past.

It can be a great deal of fun when its a direction that someone wants to take their character. Curses that you can’t be rid of and just gotta Deal With are neat.

This is the first time I’ve ever heard this (the ā€œwilling and ableā€ part). Where did this originate from?

Ask CDev. There’s a lot of info on Worgen on there.

While that link is very useful, it has absolutely nothing supporting your ā€˜willing and able’ claim.

Hm. Could’ve sworn it was there. I read it somewhere. Might have been one of those Lore Tweets. I’ll keep looking.

Could be possible you were thinking of the Skyrim Werewolf for a moment? Though, I’m not actually sure if that one mentions being knowing and willing… I havent played in a while :L
