Blizzard has added additional class combo before, so I’d like to suggest Goblin and Worgen as a player option for monks. Some may question the choice of Worgen and goblin being ridiculous. That’s what they said about Gnome Hunters before but here we are today.

I think it has something to do with the “timeline”. The Starting Zones of the Worgen/Goblins take place during the Cataclysm and Panda’s didn’t exist in their time bubble for them to become monks. But who really cares about the timeline since we have Mag’har Orcs saving Yrel, Dark Irons killing themselves, Zandalari Trolls also killing themselves, and Nightborne freeing themselves again.

That just makes it even stranger because Draenei monks they actually bothered to make a retcon for them with inserting a Pandaren into the start zone with diologue saying he was there to witness the Exodar crash.

Sadly animation really don’t mean it will happen, they got rogue animations for every single race not as the chance to be there but mainly for appearence changing toys and quests. Might be the same with worgen and goblins, might not. Ultimately it’s up to blizzard. But i hope they listen to feedback and allow for Goblin and Worgen monks. Lore should be flexible for it… Considering we have undead monks of all things.

Yeah, I had always wondered why Monks were given to Draenei/Blood Elf but not Worgen/Goblins?
I think at this point though, I think we would need a world revamp for Monks to be added to Worgen and Goblins, updating all zones to be current-content zones and not stuck in 2010.
Also, why can ZANDALARI be monks but not Worgen and Goblins? I have trouble believing the Pandaren Monks would teach any Zandalari their ways.

No, ma’am-mon. That’s not necessary at all considering they went back two expansions prior to Cataclysm and literally just dropped Pandas in the TBC starting areas completely retconning the mainland Pandaren’s
latter first public appearance in MoP. The draenei’s monk trainer was just cataloging some flora on Azuremyst Isles when he witnessed the Exodar smack into Azeroth.
Not hard to shove in a Pandaren trainer in the second village - which mind you takes place several years after you become a worgen.
Goblins? Already set, as it was stated that a Pandaren visited Kezan before.
Makes sense as they have “Chinese food” boxes all over the place on the starting area.
Not to forget to mention the goblin monk in the full tier 13 monk set in the Legion Monk Order Hall.

What about Lightforged Draenei? The fact that they can’t be monks when Jhed’in is a literal thing on Argus bugs me.

There are only three races right now that cannot be monks- Worgen, Goblin, and Lightforged Dranei. Monks should be treated similarly as hunters and warriors- every sentient race should have the capability for martial arts and utilization of life energy, just as every sentient race has traditions of hunter-gatherers and arms-masters. Except undead, makes no sense that they can weave life energy or chi, but they get a free pass so worgen should as well.

Worgen Monk I could totally see. What with the need to maintain discipline to control their form and instincts.
A goblin though? That’s a hard sell.

Same thing could apply to Goblin Monks. They run Dojos to teach self defense techniques for gold

Remember that when Goblins and Worgen came out they were the high res models of the time.
I think Blizzard was afraid that Pandaren would be put aside for Goblins/Worgen Monks and no one would play Pandaren.
Yet they never thought no matter what, people wouldn’t play Pandaren… So… Here we are many years later and they can’t still be monks.
Like some poster said above, monks should be like hunters and warriors, every race can be one.
Just retcon the area a bit and shove a Pandaren on the starting area or the less popular option, make them start at level 20 in orgrimmar like all the other ARs.
