Any advantages to a worgan druid?

Depends on the spec you plan playing, but to me they are the coolest type of druid and they give crit as well as a speed boost! :3

However if you plan on playing Feral, night elves give a greater amount of benefits if you are minmaxing. As Shadow meld is op, gain increased speed in stealth that stacks with Feral’s speed boost. As %1 crit during the day and haste during the night.

Worgens crit is nice, but if you aren’t minmaxing Worgen are my favorite type of druid aesthetically. Just outclassed for feral druid night elves, otherwise good for any of the other druids!

You can’t stay in Worgen form in combat when feral. Makes the class nigh unplayable.

Worgen. I’m a bit biased thou, I think elves are ugly. :expressionless:

Advantages: Worgen

Disadvantages: Furry. Also that if you’re anything but a resto druid you wont see worgne.

i usually drop a https://www.wowhead.com/item=198173/atomic-recalibrator and search for worgen form when i’m feral. so that i can be tru feral :slight_smile:

Upsides: were a big race that looks good in most big race gear (large shoulders, spikey gloves, the really warcraft lookin stuff) outside of some oddly shaped helmets.

Only real downside is our utility racial is kinda wasted on druid; we’re the last class that needs 40% sprint evey 2 minutes, with dash, stampede, catform and travel form. Whenever resto had the ability to tranq and move it was pretty good but outside of that every other race that can be druid has a more useful passive.

you dont have shadowmeld… (and its funny how many people think that spell is druid instead a racial from night elfs)

I think a lot of people are upset about a were wolf turning into a cat and want a more were-wolf looking cat form.

The racial sprint is nice, but druids already have a lot of mobility. I’m a bigger fan of warstomp and shadowmeld.

I asume they didn’t just made their cat form a wolf because of the lore implications or Pack Form being the origin or the worgen curse.

Wich its s lost opportunity in my opinion though. Since the original nelves were unable to control their rage during pack form, hence the attempt to cure them with the Scythe of Elune wich muted the form into the worgen curse. However the whole worgen intro questline ends with them controlling the rage, this being able to swap from both forms at will, so it would have been a cool touch if worgen druids had the chance to use an actual wolf form even if just cosmetic glyph, as a symbol of them being able to tame the wolf within

Night Elf certainly has more potential in M+ and especially PvP due to Shadowmeld, but I love Worgen appearance, story, lore and Gilneas… I’m happy to be back to my original main race :smiley: :wolf: I now have a troll and a night elf as well, so I can play on whichever and never worry about race changing again. Beating that old stubbornness and levelling / boosting helps a lot.

To be honest, i chose worgen over night elf for another speed increase. As a healer im constantly having to chase down tunnel visioned warriors, line of sighting demon hunters or having to run away from bursting monks in pvp. So having another dash that is usable in all forms (including incarnation) is very helpful. And of coarse the gilnean lore, the horror feel of werewolves, and the fact that it’s another druid form.

Honestly, with the retaking of Gilneaus, I’m surprised Gilneaus druids did not get a werewolf feral combat form. I know people would be like “omfg MORE druid crap?” but this would specifically FOR Gilneanus druids.

It would be nice and a cool surprise that when we do take back Gilneas that worgen druids get a wolf feral form skin strict to them only as a reward.

what other advantages do you need?

okay, fine, Darkflight is an extra movement speed buff and it works in all forms which can be very useful for all specs.

As a Flag Carrying bear, it can keep you moving just that little bit faster.

in M+/ Raid it can help you get out of the bad stuff without leaving bear form or wasting the group movement.

if there is a dis advantage, its not having other racial options that also have their own niche like War Stomp or Shadow meld.

Worgen is the best option from an aesthetic position imo
