Oooff, good one. I’ve never gotten Glad, 1999 is my actual ceiling.
I find that usually when I’m lucky enough to generate 3 hp against competent teams, I’m having to use that to heal myself or a partner because we are already almost dead. It severely cuts into damage except when we commit to super blatantly obvious omegaLUL burst with ES, which is already starting to routinely get shutdown when I play against good players.
I don’t mind a healing nerf, the values seem a bit high. But if the meta stays this fast we need mobility updates if we are going to be viable at all outside of using bubble offensively.
i would much prefer the old wog (charges) except for its heal to actually be potent. i think wog doing 30-40% of someones hp on a 1 min cd with two charges would be perfectly fine, way easier to tune and balance than a no cd wog with a pseudo rsham mastery mechanic
people really dont understand this about ret, they cry about how bubble used to reduce our damage but dont take into account how much more mobility we had back in those days. with how much micro cc in the game today getting full value out of wings against competent players is almost impossible
I really miss what I will call “tactical support” as ret in arena. For years we only focused on our teammates with long CD buttons, I miss using short cd abilities or consistent offhealing. My favorite times in the game were Wrath arenas instantly sniping polys and fear. Or being able to stop RMP openers if you payed attention. Gone are the days
It’s okay for a healer hybrid to heal for more than a non-healer hybrid, yes.
Guess it was ok for the last two xpacs that pure dps outhealed hybrids in 3v3?
The button has to do something to make it worth pressing. Considering we only do actual damage 20seconds every 2 mins what people complain about is rets dumping every dps resource into self sustain. So in the new speed of pvp either WoG does nothing and doesn’t stop a death or it does something and people complain. Should it crit for a whole hp bar? No, but on beta max I’ve had it crit around 17k which is about half. Pretty sure that was with all CDs up as well.
Guess people are so used to rets getting thrashed because they can’t get away now when they don’t die it’s “TO THE GROUND”
Idk about that, ret healing in legion was really good lol it was just very passive via luminescence mostly
no. pure dps shouldn’t have heals.
obviously ret healing is overtuned rn.
i’m just saying “should dk heal for less than ret?” YES.
give me another defensive and mobility spell and ill give u big wogs, deal?
It’s the same on Beta.
WoG this and WoG that, for Pete’s sake I just want to grill.
I really don’t see a point in using Seraphim, why not just take the talent that makes every holy power generator tripled?
judgment>Wog
Blade of Justice>Wog
Crusader Strike>Wog
Me watching everyone complain about Ret healing
Me watching Dk chug elmers glue as he’s typing up this post
For starters hybrids should be the ones that heal and not dps specs.
The fact that the likes of destros / rogue mage / dks out heal hybrids for so long is a joke.
Hybrid healing should be casted tho imo
Word of Glory absolutely must be nerfed, I healed myself from 10% to full.
Devotion aura, plate armor, shield of vengence, etc. Ret a ton of defensive tools. And yes, bubble is the most powerful defensive in the game, being able to pop a defensive during a cc, to remove the cc, and be invulnerable for a few seconds, while still being able to do damage… is overloaded to say the least.
Elmers glue with the sparkles in it is better than just normal glue
I don’t like the crunch the sparkles add personally but to each their own
This ghost story I keep hearing about paladin mobility and defensive lacking is borderline pathological. Like in what world is SoV, bop, bubble, sac, sanc, off heals, undispelable freedom sprint, 2 charges of horse not enough mobility and defensive utility? If you flop easily on Ret it’s because your positioning is poor or you press your buttons reactively instead of preemptively, which is the same way every class dies easily. This isn’t a Ret problem, it’s a you problem.
Sure they aren’t the MOST mobile class in the game, but with the disgusting levels of burst damage they have, any sane, decently skilled ret paladin would know to save mobility for when they have damage. Undispelable freedom when you have damage turns you in to an unpeelable death machine if you cover your bases right. If you think your mobility or defensives are bad, it’s because you’re doing it wrong.
People aren’t ready to hear about dk mobility… When dk becomes fotm you’ll see dk needs more mobility posts 24/7
