Do you think we could have a woodworking and lumber profession? Like, look for some trees to cut down and create a log cabin or wooden tools/weapons.

would only have a usage if they ever introduced customizable player housing.
but since the failure of garrisons, thats probably off the table.
Since garrisons were never player housing, I don’t think one has anything to do with the other.

Sounds like another reason we need player housing, then.
I love the idea of a new profession that can make useful items. Sadly, it seems Blizz is uninterested in making our current professions particularly useful any more. They seem more inclined to remove professions than add new ones.

No, they aren’t making wow a farmville game like they did in wod.
WoD has lumberjacking. They didn’t make it a main line profession, but it is a huge component of garrisons. You can go out in WoD zones and cut down trees like a regular gathering profession when you have the proper garrison stuff for it set up.
I think the tree respawn rate will be argued about for the rest of our time on this planet.

I think they need to improve the profusions we have. I have always been of the thought that if I can make it i can use it, based on class. If i am level 20 I should be anle to use a weapon, armor i make regardless of my level. Of course a mage is not going to wear mail plate… and then make items only that profession can use and not just at max level. A reason to actually pursue a profession
I would build a fort because toilet paper melts in the rain. I use the cardboard to wipe big bear butt.

Too bad they never added that. They could have made bows/crossbows, shields, and handles for long weapons like spears/polearms/axes. Though that second part would probably have been cut, as they don’t seem to like professions needing other professions to make stuff anymore.
god yes! finally someone who doesn’t have seething hatred for that skill! I freaking loved how it was a gathering skill that scaled off of account progress and aided all of your other skills! Its what guthix woulda wanted. Maybe. iunno.
