Wood/Forest Gnome race

I’m sure that I’m not alone in thinking that the high tech nerdy gnomes in WoW can be quite annoying and off-putting to play for some of us, but I love the gnomes that wear little Phrygian caps, boots, and tunics, doing mischief in forests, living in mushroom houses, and riding little bugs or woodland creatures around. As soon as I saw the new tmogs come out in the trading post, I got to thinking.

If there were an allied race that was completely removed from the gnomes we know of in WoW and more rooted in traditional fairy tales and folklore, some of the players who can’t stand WoW’s established gnomes and their personality may very well warm up to what is considered one of the least played races in this game.

Actually a decent way to bring gnomes and druidism together.

Would it be worth an AR? Probably not for most of the player base. Gnomes are not that popular. But I am intrigued.

I know what you mean… Some OG “David the gnome” fantasy.

Imagine if instead of Diaper gnomes we got forest gnomes.

So what would you want for racials?
Customization? Class options? Racial mount? Druid forms? Shaman totems? Paladin mount?

Have fun with it Whatcha got?

I expected a garden gnome mog.

I was not disappointed.

I like the idea a lot. Though I’d just make it a subrace like wildhammer dwarves. More nature cosmetics on the base gnome, plus a wood gnome village in the plot. Introduce gnome druids this way.

Everyone here already forgetting Sand Gnomes exist.

Do Gnomes put human statuettes in their gardens?

Would be neat to see a fashionable flamingo mount. :flamingo:

Probably a minor sleep or invisible, minor passive dodge increase, some animal friendship feature, and something that mimics the Vulpera racial to set camp in the wilderness.
