I know it’s pointless. You don’t really get anything great for it. I kinda just want to be a completionist, even though I’m not at all. It’s like a half dream to have everything in the game done, but I don’t play nearly enough for that. So it’s just a pipedream. I’ve been working on Loremaster, and I’m in Vashj’ir right now. It’s really such an annoying zone. It honestly seems like it will never end.
not even close to worth it.
But its fun none the less to work towards it slowly
It felt pretty good to finish it so for me it was worth it.
I actually just finished the achievement about 3 weeks ago since there isn’t a lot to do right now.
I finished it in the first few months of BfA before they updated it to require BfA content.
I had many alts. I had completed a great many zones already. What I did was put together a spreadsheet listing the zones not completed and finding the character that had made the most progress in that zone.
Yeah, that was annoying.
Vashjr is long but cool. Turn up the music
Probably pretty cool to know that you would have all the zones properly phased after completing the quests in all of them
always worth it to achieve goals!
In my opinion yeah, probably more worth it than working on multiple characters at the moment because of the power-reset.
Just did Outland Loremaster and slowly making progress on WoTLK. Cataclysm and Pandaria left after this, admit to being somewhat scared of if I’ll like Cataclysm. Never touched it before now.
Is anything worth it? Its subjective in the eyes of the beholder.
Well I don’t think it’s pointless because you get to see the story of the game but it’s up to you if you want to do it or not,
Look up some quest tracking tools because Loremaster in B.C. will make you want to break your computer
It depends. Do you actually enjoy questing all the storylines? If you do, then it’s worth it. The tabard is funny. The completionism of it feels REALLY good.
If you don’t enjoy the storylines and just robotically go through all of it…no. It’s a waste of hours you could spend on achievements that actually energize/motivate you.
I’m gonna say no simply because I’m still salty that Cata reset all my progress and I haven’t bothered since. Used to hop between zones for the fun of it back then so it wasn’t boring. Annnnnd it’s gone. I’d say complete entire zones in one go, if you’re going to. The expansion after Shadowlands may just shake it up again.
I also made a spreadsheet (and did it over 5 or 6 characters) but fortunately I completed the pre-MOP zones when the requirement was just a number of quests per zone, not storylines.
You don’t know fun until you level a druid in Vashjir!! Anyways yea I found it worth it because I enjoyed all the little stories and stuff, I just treated it as reading a long book. It took a lot of time even back then, I imagine way more now but if you can have a good time doing it then it would be completely worth it!
My suggestion is to think about what characters you want to do each questline on. As they reward appearances based on your class.
You don’t want to spend hours doing Ashenvale on a mage and find out one of the quest lines has a great plate reward you want, for example.
Just like with anything.
If you like it and want it, it’ll be worth it.
If not then, not really.
I can’t be asked with that title, completionist stuff so I don’t bother. Then 10 others come along who can’t play the game any other way and enjoy something like Mechagon (which I’m still baffled why anyone would like it past the first moments).
It’s just a matter of knowing what you want, what you find fun, then it’s always worth it.
As for the annoying stuff…
Break it up, or sometimes just bite the proverbial bullet and get through it. Not everything will be fun for you.
Dopamine is the reward of every completion(ist).
