Wolf theme somewhat dated?

Am I the only one who feels a bit out of place playing a shaman as any race other than Orc (or Troll with appropriate glyphs)? Two of a shaman's most prominent abilities, Ghost Wolf and Feral Spirit were obviously made with an Orc shaman in mind.

I'd be happy with a simple glyph that replaces the Ghost Wolf visual with an ethereal form of my actual character, like a WC3 spirit walker or something. At least then I'd feel comfortable playing Elemental or Resto. I can't think of a solution for Feral Spirit unfortunately.

If we start bringing it up now, we may get it in 3-4 expansions.

Goblins should get a Ghost Crab. Or go full in on the techno-shaman thingie and do a rocket pack.

I don't mind the wolves - it's just part of the class flavor for me. I do think they could use an update, though, you know? Just a bit of polish.

Wouldn't say no to a different animal for each race, though. I'd be jazzed to be able to shift into a Panthara ...

I don't know, I did the raptor theme for a while on my troll shaman, and I had to swap back. The noise is just so much worse with everything; going into travel form, getting hit in travel form, casting spirit raptors.

Would love to see race/spec specific ghostanimal forms

Though ghost raptor+the stone toy that has chance to turn enemies to stone on death+wingstoy spamming a health stone cauldron is my favorite pre pull activity

In a world where druid races get their own forms and paladins get a race specific mount, I don't see why shaman shouldn't get unique forms for ghost wolf. Then again, paladin and druid are popular

Or even give us an elemental form of a wolf. Fire, Ice etc. Like they look with the enhancement trait. Would give people some kind of customisation.

I would add the Blood Elves just have a recolor of the human pally mount. The only race that doesn't get their own racial pally mount.

Goblins can just be wolves like usual, except they spill oil everywhere.

The wolf theme is really just game cosmetics. Orcs have a history with the wolves, making wolf a popular choice for spirit animal when Shaman were Horde only.

In lore Shaman can commune with elemental and animal spirits and so could really take any spirit form they desire.
