I’m leveling an alt, grab an xp potion from garison quartermaster and head out to grab some sweet treasure.
After 3 zones, passing through Tanaan, see an unprotected treasure go to grab it and its level restricted requires 100 to loot… wth?
Last time I leveled it did not have a restriction, fly over to Nagrand all the treasure there is level restricted to 98 and above.
When did they patch this in ? Not impressed.
It’s been that way for awhile now, the force you to follow the zone levels even with looting the chests
This was changed when DH’s were introduced in the Legion prepatch iirc.
It was to keep people from farming gold by making DH’s, gathering those chests, then remaking new ones.
I’ve run into a chest in Elwynn like this.
Tanaan was the max level zone of wod just like suramar and Argus are for legion
I noticed that a few months back. Couldn’t tell you when it happened though.
Had no clue this was a thing lol. My brain forces me to clear out Shadowmoon and then head to Gorgrond/Talador
I think it changed not too long ago. The last time I leveled a toon through WOD (ok, it’s been awhile) I used to fly around and pick up treasures everywhere. There was no level requirement. It just seems rather odd for the devs to even bother doing this. It is probably a case of “we did not originally intend for people to fly around and get treasure from zones that are beyond their level, and we noticed that a lot of people were doing this, so it was necessary to fix it”
Long ago. I think the beginning of Legion.
I didn’t run into the cap walls previously, usually do the combat missions ( crossed swords) so prob didn’t notice.
When Legion started. Maybe even in the pre-patch.
Tanaan was never intended to be content for sub max players in wod.
If you’re a <110 player in Suramar, you can’t open the chests or pick up ancient mana. You also can’t harvest felwort from world quests, though you can pick it if someone happened to plant a seed and leave it.
