WoD Story Yrel

Sorry, I skipped WoW Multiverse 473. It was an 8 AM course and I wanted to sleep in.

Occam’s razor: there’s no reason for it to have persistently linked it. If a simple connection was enough, we wouldn’t have had to go through all of those hoops to reconnect in the recruitment line. If simply having something go from one to the other, the timeline would’ve been permanent from the start. MU brought people and things to AU, and people and things from AU (eg. invaders) came to MU.

In their defense, they thought it was gnome blood.

Sorry altering the entire fate of several planets (titans) is a large enough alteration to keep it there. Also that’s not how Occam’s Razor works go read another wiki. Occam’s Razor assumes there’s a simple option, there isn’t in a complicated issue and it doesn’t apply.

The writing has been pretty bad since WoD:

  • One of Bronze Dragons breaks Garrosh out of his trial, just to take him to an alternate timeline to create an army. He brings Garrosh, a nutjob who murders anyone that isn’t an ORC, and expects Garrosh to be his pawn and not kill him the first chance he gets?
  • At the end of WoD, after everything that Grom did, everyone forgives him because he . . . . was tied up by a demon for a couple days? What?!
  • Speaking of the end of WoD, why did Archimonde send Gul’dan to our timeline? Why didn’t he send him out to their own timeline’s Twisting Nether? Where is the Legion in the alternate timeline? Are they not a threat? Does anyone care?

Maybe I missed a book or something…

Yrel was basically a teenager by Draenai reckoning and was left on her own without guidance and forced to run the show by alternate Velen. We packed up and left for home and there were still pro Gul’dan forces there. She kinda snapped under it all, which is reasonable story wise.

Yrel is the currently reigning evil dictator of Draenor.

She’s no more extreme than Sylvannas.

Because in both universes, the shadow council turned the orcs and draenei against each other well before offering the orcs the demon blood.

Actually, on BOTH universes orcs slaughtered pacific Draenei without drinking green blood. This was one of the first acts of the Horde…it was born for this.

There’s a bit of back story there. It’s a bit muddy because the time the horde players was were so brief. And a lot of it are from the orc side.

The war didn’t start immediately after the lightbound got lightforged. But there are tensions that lightbound trying to convert everyone on draenor. Forcibly on some.

It was quite a while later that the war between the lightbound and the mag’har started. The main reason is alternate draenor is dying. And no one knows why. So, both side blame the other. And the war start. The lightbound have a big advantages since they lightforged almost everyone on draenor already.

The reason the alternate draenor is failing is kinda interesting. Is it outside interference? The light? The void? Remnant of the legion? The planet was destined to die even in the main timeline it exist anyway? Or maybe it was the timeline fading?

I’m kinda sad that Yrel, such a sweet girl becomes evil :frowning: - I don’t think I will finish Maghar Orc story now, I rather remember her as the innocent lost Draeni.

She entered in a select group of few people in warcraft can enter aka the morally grey character, some members are very know people like Paladin Arthas, Daelin, Rogers, Maraad, Illidan, Locus Walker and Genn before bfa
