WoD Story Yrel

So I just finished 5 Draenor time walk dungeons and really enjoyed them. But to get to the point, does anyone know what happen to Yrel at the end of WoD and after? I tried to google, but nothing really comes up. She was one of the most memorable characters in that expansion, I kinda miss her.

I believe she’s now a crazy religious Zealot that wants to convert everyone to Light worshipers.

She and AU Garrosh bang and become homicidal zealous Light monsters.

Yah she’s the real Garrosh 2.0

She’s currently flaying Grom and prosecuting whatever orcs are left on Draenor :woman_shrugging:

If you have the time go do the unlock scenario to get Mag’har orcs.

If you dont have the time then here,

Blizzard needed a reason for Draenor’s orcs to join our universe’s Horde so they decided to make Yrel a monster out of nowhere. Aye, after all she did on WoD they picked the Garrosh treatment out of a hat and shot it at Yrel…Sad.

Oh nice, going to do that now. Thanks!

Though I never thought it would go as far as it did, she was, by the end of questing, already a battle focused persona as far as the usually passive Draenei went.

Add to that that she had leadership thrust upon her, an intense thirst for revenge, and an ever growing fealty to the Light as a weapon and I guess I can see where she could be led astray as she was.

Just gonna throw this out there, I like the crazy Yrel. After all she’s been through I’d like to think that she took control of the majority of Draenei who thought the WoD ending was utter garbage and said “Nah, you orcs can’t be trusted even in a time of peace, either give in to the light or I’ll build a new road with your bones this time”

It depends, if you’re Alliance - nothing happened. She’s still in your garrison being all space goaty. If you’re Horde who hasn’t unlocked Maghar Orcs, again nothing she’s wherever she is in that version of Draino.

If have unlocked the Maghar Orcs, there is another other alternate timeline you spawned through your actions and should feel bad. (giggle)

I don’t 100% trust the Mag’har unlock scenario as 100% pure lore.

The narrators are unreliable, it’s an alternate universe and 30 years have passed there to our 4-5 years. It’s completely out of sync with the main universe at this point.

That said though, I’m not surprised at all that the Draenor orcs were going down the same path and Yrel chose the path of the zealot rather than sit idly by while orcs are being orcs and killing the planet again.

What’s more likely: the orcs were suddenly killing Draenor with their shamanism that’s about respecting spirits and the elements that they’d been practicing for generations or Y’rel and company were by overdoing it with the Light?

She has rallied the Draenei into a crusader state, recruiting thousands of Orcs, Ogres, and possibly Arakkoa to her cause. She’s the primary antagonist of the playable Mag’har in the Mag’har recruitment quests.

To be fair, before the Legion showed up on main universe Draenor (now Outlands) they got along just fine with the Draenei for over 200 years. Its was the Legion that ruined everything as part of Kil’Jaeden wanting to make the Draenei not just die but suffer.

The Void sees all paths as true.

The Light sees one path as true and shuns the other paths as lies.

As such, the Warcraft Universe (50% light, 50% void) has all paths as true, but only one keeps on going true forever. Alternate timelines are fated to fade from existence.

But if the main universe interferes with them, they keep going longer than they were supposed to go.

As we interfered with Draenor, that timeline got extended.

And the Light didn’t like it. The Light doesn’t like alternate truths.

So they started destroying Draenor.

And the Naaru told the Draenei that that was the Orcs’ fault because they didn’t worship the Light.

You can actually see a Naaru erasing time from a bunch of Orcs, and they get frozen forever.

So basically Y’rel thinks the Orcs are destroying Draenor by not worshiping the Light, so she’s trying to beat them into joining her religion.

That’s why they run away to our Timeline.

Which is rich, because now Y’rel will fade away and the Mag’har will survive lol

I would like for her to come back to MU though. Not so much for her but so she can bring some aggressiveness to the Alliance.

The Bladewind Clan says hello. Velen actively told the Draenei to not engage in retaliatory strikes on the Orcs after Orcish aggression against Draenic caravans. These raids resulted in Draenei women being enslaved and violated sexually, resulting in half-Orcs like Lantresor and Garona. There was some overall lack of hostility due to mutual avoidance but things between the two groups weren’t very peachy. They just had a bigger issue, the Gorian Empire, to keep them from focusing on each other.

Yrel became High Exarch Yrel, as we find out in the Mag’har Orc Allied Race quest series. Definitely check it out for the lore alone.

High Exarch Yrel is able to secure Draenor for her people.

Sunwell corrupting intensifies

Ah, true true, well spotted.

But we also cant take one of the smallest clans as the standard for all the orcs before the Legion showed up. They were also known to attack other clan caravans so they seemed more like opportunistic raiders than world destroying evil army the Legion turned them into.
