WoD Questions for "newer" player

So I started in 8.3 and haven’t touched WoD except for running some of the raids for mounts to no avail.

  1. What/Where is the best place to farm Apexis Crystals? Is there like a place where MOB’s spawn super fast over and over and they drop? (I know about the daily mission for 1,000 I think it is, other than that)

  2. For stable and garrison Mounts, is it better to run my main and 3 alts doing stables at same time to get the mounts faster or does each mount opportunity in stable evolve as it grows so the same result from the alts as I get from the main? (hope that makes sense). Basically, is it a waste of time to do the same build on my alts if all I want is mounts?

  3. Any tips to enjoy this content more even though I shot everything?

I REALLY want the Corrupted Dreadwing - It is one of my favorite mounts and am ready to start the grind so hoping for some tips out there for Apexis Crystals. Thanks in advance :slight_smile:

Yes. You can farm them from the Sabers down the path from the vendor that sells the Totems to summon the Elites.

Thanks. Absolutely no idea where this is. Which of the zones and any idea what landmark or something I can find it with/near? Maybe a named mob close?

the pit in northern gorgrond is the place I used to group up and farm them during wod, lots of rares there too for bonus crystals.

  1. Farm the Sabers, they have a fast spawn rate
  2. The guide has some shortcuts people were able to do in the comment section. They were able to do this on one toon. Give it a read before duplicating your work by building more stables.
  3. I think if you focus on getting your Apex Crystals, via sabers, you’ll enjoy yourself. I found it relaxing.

Every new toon I ever make goes thru WOD just go do the intro questline and to build a garrison. I have done it well over 3 dozen times now. WOD can be fun in some parts.

Follow the guide Kiwi posted. Do the quests in tanaan jungle and send your followers out on apexis missions. You will get them in “no” time…well, short order anyways.

Holy cow… I guess the finished product is much better than how it evolved according to what I have read.

Not to mention it will give you the garrison hearth stone so if you have that + your regular one + the one from new Legion Dalaran then you will have 3 hearth stones. May sound overkill but if you really want to play a lot and be as efficient in your travels as possible while you do then that it the way to go.

Ahh I didn’t know that. The hearth takes you to your Garrison right? but is there a portal in the garrison to go other places?

With a level three garrison you get a portal to Ashran which has a portal to Stormwind so it’s actually helpful. Combined with the bank and few other perks I still have toons who are based there.

Yea to SW or to Org. And some other features there such as unlocking things at your garrison that can be useful.
