WoD Ore Resources Not Shared?

Starting in Legion (I think), they made it where if someone uses an ore or herb node, it would persist for another 20-30 seconds in which others could also gather it before disappearing.

Starting a new character, I had seen this behavior in Original, Wrath, and Pandaria. But, when I got to Draenor, as soon as my partner harvested an ore node, it is performing like the resource originally did pre-Legion…where it disappears instantly so I couldn’t also collect it. (I don’t know if herbs do this too since neither of us are Herbalists)

Is this functioning as intended for how Draenor resources work or is this a bug?

ugh, this is exactly my question and no one replied from back in July?

Husband/Wife team are finding that both herb and ore nodes in WoD are single-use and do not share. Tested a dozen times. Is this intentional?

I noticed this while I was leveling a character in wod not long ago.
