This person thinks that nobody would be asking for WoD Legacy Servers, so I am here with an early Sunday thread to request:
Ok, not servers, but maybe like since we are getting classic back, maybe get also TBC/Wrath/WotLK/Cata/MoP/WoD/Leg realms or something. I’d take anything over BfA any time.
I think they want to take baby step and see how classic will play out. There is a chance they might release expansions to classic as a way to help keep the game fresh if it does eventually get far to repetitive and rely to much on pvp.
The main thing I care about is just having fun again. Something which the devs have removed fro… Wait, crap, I better not request for fun. It will be denied!
Idk I am just really really REALLY bad at pvp. I will be playing classic for the pve but if I get all the gear and do all the raids many times over it might get a little redundant.
That and reliving the experience with my mum all over again. Should be fun to bond over the game again just like the “good olde days”
Personally, I think they should maintain two sets of legacy servers:
The first is `Vanilla’ Classic, and would forever remain so to please those poor masochists-…er, I mean…those devotees, that want it.
The second would also start out as Classic Wow…but then every few months, the patches and expansions would be regularly released, at a rate of say, one expansion every 18 months or so. If this turned out to be popular, they could further freeze a server or two at each given expansion, while others would continue on to the next. This would allow the fans of WothLK to remain in that setting as long as they like…and when they got tired of it, pay the $25 fee to transfer to the Cataclysm server, and so on.
I realize this would require a lot of maintenance support to manage such a system…but it it could well be profitable enough to be justifiable.
I’ve read a few posts from players like yourself who loved the Warlords Of Draenor expansion so it’s a safe bet to assume there is a demand to return to those days.
The question I want to ask is how far do we go in setting up servers that capture a chapter of WoW’s history. I know we wouldn’t be short of finding a server. Some of the stagnant servers could be reformatted to serve as a WoD one.
One thing’s for certain: 10 years from now, we won’t see anyone writing a post titled, “BFA Legacy Server NOW!”
