They’re cherry picking on who can carry them based on item level, plus they might be saving some spots for their guild buddies. Orrrr…they kick people a lot and prefer to have backups on standby to pick from. There are other reasons that I can’t share but just stay away from waitlist groups.

WL groups are stupid. I do not recommend applying to them. Leaders of WL groups are usually very tempremental. It’s also annoying that they clog up the group finder. They’re essentially abusing the group finder by using it as an infinite reservation queue area rather than what its actually for.
