Without RDF

Maybe we just play different games, or maybe servers really have a community aspect. This is not something I’ve experienced.

I mean I’ve seen people advertise LF T6 DPS for H MGT, but they also advertise more than once. Most people are pretty chill and don’t really ask questions about your gear or experience.

4 months from now

Looking for 3 more
235 ilvl at least Heroic Utgarde keep

Well im at 230.

Sorry… we are looking for a fast run… we dont want to be in there too long.

Then the multitude of reasons they dont want you to come. So you spend x amount more time going through groups through all the elitest to find someone that will go…

And what happens when people dont want to go to those dungeons anymore?

Then youre the last sentence of the song Allen played on the original Hangover. (Just being polite about it).

Lol who is checking logs for heroics??

There are raids that people don’t even bother checking logs for, you just need to be able to push buttons.

Making a mountain out of a molehill 101.

RDF would be fine if it was server only. It’s Xserver RDF that is bad for the genre.

What does community aspect have to do with vetting people in a dungeon… are you trying to say that some rare servers such as Pagle… which we’ve all ran BG’s with kids from Pagle and those guys might be the scummiest/toxic kids on the BG… so anyone that plays Classic TBC already knows you LYING so hard right now.

Secondly you play a Prot Paladin literally the most desired tank for dungeons… so your experiences are completely skewed.

We play classic… why are you trying to pretend that gatekeeping didn’t happen when dungeons were the focus a year ago? Nobody is talking about the entire expansion because dungeon litearlly aren’t the focus past pre-bis… most of us that raid do one dungeon a day MAYBE after we get our pre-bis… and I haven’t ran a dungeon in like 4 months on any characters myself… and I’m not a unicorn.

So a group of people above iLvl 235 are forming a heroic and not inviting you, but at the same time no one is running dungeons anymore?

Just make your own group for a dungeon and start inviting people. Or rejoice in the fact that Paladin can play Tank, Healer, or DPS. So you can build a set for an off spec, and go into a dungeon to fish for gear on your main spec.

And anyone knows that grabbing a 230 player and going now is faster than searching for 5 more minutes for a 235 player.

Every DPS who can do the Tank role removes four DPS from the pool of players wanting to do dungeons right now. The three DPS plus the offspec tank. That’s better for everyone!

You started off by saying that. Then you said players on your server were leaving dungeon groups early anyway, so apparently RDF wasn’t the cause.

But as far as ‘compromises’ go, making it server-specific is probably the best option. I suggested it the day Blizz announced they were removing RDG from Wrath. But that was also before Blizz announced name, race and faction change with invalidates any worry about your reputation.

God do I have to break down basic psychology for you buddy.

Every person has their own bias… they may not like hunters for example and will never invite a hunter… one dude might not want any plate wearers… other dude doesn’t like this guild…

These are all examples of exclusion, and they happen when any group is formed manually.

So stop harping on the ilvl… because yes that is just one of many reasons someone would exclude someone from a dungeon.

I guess I should have stated my server group even though I thought that was pretty obvious since that’s how it was.

U are going to check raid logs just to invite someone to a dungeon?

Go back to retail.

I don’t think you can run dungeons at level 11 unfortunately, which is probably why you haven’t run any :frowning:

The OP of the post is worried about iLvl. That’s where the iLvl is coming from.

Excluding someone you dont want to play with based on the guild they are in is a good thing.

Like I said, maybe its a server thing or maybe a horde/alliance thing, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone deny a spot to a DPS because of the class they played. Can’t imagine that happens on a large enough scale to matter.

If only there were a version of wow that had RDF that you could play. HMMMM

A battlegroup probably had as many servers as exist in Wrath Classic. And thanks to megaservers players are even more congested.

are you dense?

where did i say i was going to check wcl for dungeon run?
other people do it on my realm and its been going on for a while.
or the classic ’ SWP geared only’ for the daily heroic

go back to your mom’s lap, basement dweller child insult
lmao

what a cringe lord to come at me for what i said

edit: oh i get it, you’re on pagle

And I’m not level 11, that’s just who blizzard decided to show. I’m level 75 in the wolk beta and have 3 level 70s in TBC, 5 level 60s in retail

Starting off with an insult? Amazing.

I had a far different experience. RDF was amazing and I loved using the tool. Also I didn’t have a great guild then and real friends to play with like now. I want RDF but doesn’t hurt me if it never comes. It only hurts dps in my opinion as tanks such as myself that will never use the chat or the tool.

You are correct 100%. When we only have 4 on and allow a pug to join us we exclude classes all the time. Now we don’t exclude gear for the most part as we usually are all geared enough to carry. But say our warrior is after a trinket then no way we will allow melee to come.

Idiotic comment, do you actually believe that we played through classic and TBC just to do RDF in Wrath? Like maybe, just maybe, we feel there are a lot of other things wrong with retail we just don’t want to put up with. I am, however, hoping Dragonflight changes enough of it to go back to retail.
