I’ve watched a few YouTube videos and read a couple of WOW wiki articles on this mount. I’m still confused. My question has two parts.
1)How many ways can I obtain this mount? I know of the Withered Army chest drop (0.3%) but I’ve heard rumors of it also dropping from daily quests in Suramar. Can someone confirm or deny this?
Technically there’s only one way to obtain the mount, which is to get the quest item from one of the random sources. If you successfully complete the quest, then you’ll get the mount.
As I recall, I got the item from opening a random chest in Suramar. I know of others who got it from doing the Withered Training scenario. I think it’s also a possible drop from killing rare mobs (not normal mobs though).
The chance of getting it from any source is very low, though. The Withered training is probably the most reliable potential source if you’re capable of clearing the whole scenario. Otherwise… just farm chests and rares in Suramar and hope for the best.
I picked up my invitation from the Suramar Emissary reward cache, so aside from the Withered Army training, I’d do that when it’s up.
I got one from the Suramar WQ cache as well, and a second a few months later but can’t remember if it was the cache or the withered training. Did both many times on at least three characters for several months.
This seems promising, however, I’ve never really been a consistent sub of the game. I’m lost as to what you’re referring to. Could you elaborate, please?
At 110, Khadgar gives you a quest to reach Friendly with some of the Legion factions. It unlocks Legion world quests for your account, and you only need to hit Friendly the first time, alts simply turn in the quest right away. Each day one of the factions will have an extra emissary reward bag for doing four of their quests, so check your map to see where the world quests are, and when Suramar is doing their emissary (the icons for it are at the bottom of the map).
If this is a boosted character and you haven’t done any Legion content yet, check your bags for a Dalaran hearthstone. Once you arrive in the version of Dalaran that’s in the Broken Isles, wait a few moments and a class NPC should approach with the quests to get your artifact and class hall. Also check for Khadgar in the Violet Citadel (northwest corner of the city), if he doesn’t have the “Uniting the Isles” quest yet, check again after establishing your class hall.
You can get breadcrumb quests for the Broken Isles zones from the Scouting Map in your class hall, and Khadgar will give you the Suramar breadcrumb, as well as start you on the scenarios that unlock the Broken Shore and Argus areas.
