Can we have high keys drop lower crests after you max’d out your aspects already?
I really dont want to go and do 15s+ just to farm lower crests.
Like why is this a thing? is this an oversight? or what

You can downgrade crests via the vendor, Vaskarn, in Loam.
Your aspect crest can be converted 1:1 to any of the lower-ranked crests.

But i need the crests…aspect crests. thats the point. atm and you only get a limitted amount

If you want more aspect crests beyond the time-gated limit, we both probably know this isn’t changing until later in the season.
Letting lower-ranked crests drop in more difficult content as a soft-cap would probably help you, but i suspect that the limit will eventually simply be removed before a stopgap is implemented.

And here Ion was saying you should not hit the cap and blah blah blah, just excuses, because I am at my cap for Drakes crests and that’s my limit, was at that limit days ago. At least I have somewhere to go, for now, can still farm M11-15 until I cap out at the Wyrm ones.
And by than will I be able to farm Aspect? Maybe not, I might still be too low iLVL and skilled to do that. Hopefully by the time I reach the cap for Wyrm each week they have raised the cap a bit.
You must be doing something very wrong. This new system encourages running the highest key you can.

I still need 2 more Wyrm fragments after full-clearing Heroic, as well as doing a handful of 11-15 keys (I think it was the higher end of that?), and the Wyrm crests aren’t rewarded from 16+ keys once you’re Aspect capped either. So I have to run the 11-15 keys to truly cap out on Wyrm fragments.
What’s weirdly ironic about that is the fact that Wyrm crests are, for the next several weeks, by FAR the most important ones for even CE-level players like myself. We only need to spend one Aspect on a piece to get it to 441, but we need to spend several Wyrms to get it to 437 first. Sure, we need four Aspect crests per Crafted item as well, but that’s not even remotely an issue for us either since we’re already running 17+ keys for gear so we’re getting Aspect-capped without really trying, even before stepping foot in Mythic and killing the first 3.

Did you prefer the older system where you were forced to do +2s?

sad thing is you gotta do mythic plus or be able to raid high level raids to get the good crests… idk kinda annoying they’re forcing that as I don’t do mythic plus

Is the cap a rolling cap, like valor?
If thats the case then yeah, in all likelihood, it won’t matter.

Why 15s and not 11s?
I hate it. You have to farm both high and low keys every week, way more then 8 runs now.

Not Triceps, but MUCH better then current system now. They need to increase crest mats dropped every run.
