With Precog baseline, how about a Melee version for Steel weapon chain?

Ya, it was not getting kicked and then winning the game because they were a caster and the melee’s only chance missed.

What about the CC that comes after , grip, storm bolt , gouge knock, push back blade storm incap stun, sometimes by time you get to cast they have kick again lol you guys missed the point

I wouldn’t say insane, but it is generally steeper.

That doesn’t mean endgame pvp between competent players should be wizards vs rogues.

Bad casters get smashed by melee and come to forums to cry despite locks/mages and frequently spriest/boomie being top tier. That’s how it always is.

These changes weren’t even implemented to help casters, they are meant for healers and wizards just get a buff because of it.

No. That’s an exaggeration. You most likely aren’t getting kicked by healers outside of R Shaman. And if you are having 10 CCs dumped into you in a 5 second window, you are in a battleground. Melee have to deal with that too.

Dragonflight did lead to CC creep, but melee has to deal with it too. I.e. get a kick, then get hit by a different spell school/druid bash/etc. CC should really be looked at on a spec-by-spec basis.

For example, Mage has at max multiple roots, DB, ROF, Blast Wave Knock Back, Poly (no CD), Icewall, Frost Stun, snares for days.

Warrior has at max Stormbolt, Disarm, Spear (on a giant 1.5 min cd), AoE Fear. It’s a different playing field.

Was immediately nerfed after the competition for being too off-meta.

disarm is a bad mechanic imo.

CC and the game in general does not have to be complicated for there to be opportunities for skill expression. you dont need a ton of disarms, interrupts, and roots to balance casters and melee. if the idea of a spell is to remove the target from the situation, let the spell do that. i like the idea of CC that is broken on damage (or completely immunes you such as cyclone) but prevents you from playing, that has a cast time or a cooldown. i also like the idea of classes having offensive hard cc in the form of stuns to land kills. something about partial CC in the form of disarms, interrupts, and roots just seems extra to me. havinga lot of tools to control a game is definitely fun, but with a lot of work to the fundamentals of pvp, you could find that same enjoyment with fewer negatives.

this got fixed
