I like the UI small, but when I change it to be smaller, the chat window changes with it. The chat window is already unlocked. I don’t see any other options to scale it nor can I drag it bigger.

Go to edit mode, click the chat box, it turns gold, go to the bottom right corner and drag blue arrow.

I get no blue arrow. I can move the chat box, I cannot change its size.

So you don’t see the blue lines in the bottom right corner of the main chat box?
The other chat boxes can be resized same way as before (i.e., outside Edit Mode).

I had the same problem. You have to look inside the outline at the actual chatbox. It can be hard to see for some people, but it’s there.

The layout won’t save for me. After I logout and log back in, chat window resets. Anyone have this problem?

You shouldn’t feel embarrassed. It’s a very bad design. A two step process now is five. And it’s not very obvious. A lot of these issues are taught in UI design 101. It’s pretty shocking.

I don’t exactly know what I did, but I was able to finally save the chat layout. I think I first saved the layout for other changes, and then saved the chat layout separately or combined with some other change. I also disabled add-ons.
Man I tried that and still no luck. Oh well guess I have to down load an addon or something to force it to move and save.
