With near universal approval can we get a response about dual spec please

You think this is the Classic forum for Vanilla not the TBC Classic forum, no wonder you are so confused.

both vanilla classic and TBC classic are classic versions of WoW, hence the word ā€œclassicā€ in both names. Iā€™m glad we have cleared this up for you :expressionless:

Except that blizzard specifically dropped #nochanges as a goal for TBC Classic vs Classic.

Ever wonder why they show up as different options in the bnet app?

There are loads of fun QoL changes you can make to TBC. TBC makes a lot of things intentionally cumbersome.

The pro Dual spec camp seem to ignore the caveat that Bliz put on changes, that they would try to maintain the authenticity of the TBC experience.

Iā€™m not inclined to think #somechanges meant #anykindofchanges.

Maybe Blizzard should come out and clarify where the line is. It could help with this.

Nor #changesbypoll

Sure they donā€™t want to make unpopular changes, but popularity alone is not the sole factor. It has to actually fit the design of the game.

And it clearly doesnā€™t, hence why we donā€™t have all changes.

What you do have to do is clearly articulate a reason beyond #nochanges.

nope. the burden of proof is on YOU to tell us why TBC should have a feature like dual spec when it never had such a thing before. hint: ā€œit would be more convenientā€ is not a good enough answer.

Clearly there are changes Blizzard can make that Iā€™ll deal with. Such as the ones they have made.

Logically, however, I have to put my foot down at some point given my stated desire to experience TBC as true-to-life as it was.

The burden of proof has been provided, it improves the game for a lot of people.

oh wow, what a convincing argument

How do you feel about full bnet connectivity vs what we had in vanilla and TBC?

It is until you can explain the actual downside.

name all the improvements in detail

Does it though? You say it does. You could argue it did in Wrath too. But will it in TBC?

You argue it will due to the convenience, I say it wonā€™t due to the loss of the TBC identity and the further speeding up of content burn that people will do as a result.

They will get through TBC faster than they already are and get bored. Respec is both a gold and a time sink. The gold sink has been trivialised by botting but the time sink is still there somewhat. TBC has far less content than WoTLK had.

People can play more parts of the game without jumping through hoops. Want to PvE and PvP helps with that, you like to tank and dps you can do that much better, want to heal or tank for your raid and only have a little free time outside of that dual spec lets you do something outside your raid spec, the list goes on.

Hey, #somechanges right?

The hoops players have to jump through is most of the ā€œcontentā€ TBC has. Itā€™s designed around the hoops and grinds. Itā€™s without doubt the grindiest version of wow. Thereā€™s a lot less actual quest, dungeon, and raid content in TBC. If the hoops get removed weā€™ll be done with TBC within 6 months.

Exactly, which means any change needs to be explained on its specific pros and cons.

But why is respeccing a hoop that adds any value to TBC? Keep in mind it only applies to a small portion of players.
