Currently, there is only about 400 mages above 1000 rating in solo shuffle. That is all specs
Compare that to fury warriors… the 1000 person board ends with number 1000 being about 1400 rated. SO god only knows how many thousand are above 1000 rating.
Same for Demon hunters
Looking at over 1900 rating…
85 Fury warriors
30 mages of all specs (1 fire)
If this does not tell you the state of mage, I dont know what will.
Of course this says a lot about how OP warriors and Demon hunters are as well… BUt mages are by far the lowest performing in SS… and it become more obvious with each day.

I don’t feel comfortable or confident enough with my kit to play yet. It’s weird. It’s super stressful to play.

its miserable. People constantly break my sheeps… I get trained, constantly stunned and silenced.
That all being said, some mages have broken through and done well… I do have to wonder though how.
Playing down in the 900 range, no wonder my sheeps get broken or not followed up with CC… Perhaps if one can get lucky and end up with better players that doesn’t happen and mage can succeed ?
But if that were the case, wouldn’t we see more mages higher ranked ?
Oh really, that low huh? Good to know. Typically I have no interest in PvP but I was considering trying to get to 1800 to get those Vanilla transmogs unlocked because I had earned the individual pieces in Vanilla (I still have them in storage) but did not get the high enough rank they ultimately decided you needed to unlock them for transmog. Probably not even going to bother now.
Arena sucks. Melee jumps on me and i’m pretty much instantly dead
Frost mage is really fun to play on BGs tho. 22s immune to stun (if that works like i think), instant cast crits, just you know, don’t walk alone.

1000 fury warriors over 1500
1000 Havok Demon hunters over 1500
186 mages above 1500 (All specs)
uninstalling i just wanted to play mage and its terrible not having fun getting stomped in pvp and never getting invited to mythics later

I been blizz customer for 20+. Mage has been my main since day one. When game is more frustration than fun, cause more anger than laughter, seeing how blizz is either class bias or completely incompetent…after all these years considering quitting.
