With Bobby gone what will happen to blizzard

As the title states. What do you think will happen to blizzard and all our games now that he is gone.

Personally I have never been a fan of his. Rumors stirring years and years ago and now alot have came to light.

I’m glad he is gone.

But…did his choices help or hinder blizzard? Only time will tell…

There were some games/xpacs that were good and bad. But overall blizzard is still a storm…

What will this shattering bring us now

I’m gonna guess its going to be mostly business as usual and nothing really all that major will change.

Let’s hope they buff gnomes! Next CEO come in hot baby tell Mike and Ion to buff us gnomes and be our gnomie forever :heart_eyes:

Seeing he wasn’t actually on the design team nor did he write a single line of code, I am not expect a huge change.

This.

Also Bobby is walking away with a $400 million dollar golden parachute. If anyone thinks this is a victory for ‘the little guy’, they really don’t get it. Bobby did what he was paid to do: made shareholders a stupid amount of money in spite of everything.

Bobby didn’t lose. Bobby won, and he won huge… and the guy following his act will pledge to do everything Bobby did and then try to do better.

He still had control on what got released. Just like Microsoft technically now has the rights to veto anything they want to down the line.

People for some reason think a CEO has no say in what gets released …has no idea what goes on in a corporate space.

Depending on some types of jobs. Yes day to day ops of a CEO has no concern what’s going on with what they are doing that second. But to think they don’t kill projects after they already green lit something…you really don’t understand how things work.

Having a say on what get’s released does mean what does it’s still going to be bad, which has largely been the problem the last few years.

Careful, we know not yet what our new overlords will usher in. It could be great. It could be dismal. What we really need to worry about is when Disney buys Microsoft.

Exactly. Now that Bobby is gone. Will Microsoft let loose the reigns. Or ad a choker.

inside job getting unrenewed is a great example of this.

Also yes i’m salty about that.

More micro transactions

The one thing Microsoft is great about…is making money on side things with licensing…

A warcraft TV show would be pretty nice to see. It could last longer than supernatural (their fan base being as crazy dedicated as wow players are to blizzard)

Loved the movie even though it got ridiculed…

A tv show would be completely review bombed by the WoW playerbase if they didn’t make Arthas’ eyes the right color, or if Tyrande didnt have the proper color socks.

… Realize with Bobby gone Ion should also be gone.

Watch the dry, dead withered plant begin to flourish again only after the 2nd step is taken.

the only change will be that a different name will be on the yachts that our money will be funneled towards purchasing

I’m pretty sure it’d get review bombed anyway. Some peoples entire lives is hating this company.

I still find it amusing how people will purposefully ruin the point of review sites like rotten tomatoes and then point to how they ruined it as proof the thing is bad.

I’m guessing the store front will become even a larger role in their profit line.

Or just Microtransactions worth buying. The store is garbage. I don’t find it bothersome there is a cash shop. I find it bothersome I want to spend money there and there ain’t anything worth spending money on. Lame armor? Lame mounts? thbbt.

Hinder. It did nothing but hinder. His goal was to make as much money for shareholders as humanly possible. This comes at the cost of everything else which is why we’ve gotten poor remakes like Warcraft 3: Reforged. It’s why we have a completely unneeded sequel in Overwatch 2 with the selling point of PvE being stripped out for more MTX through seasons/skins/passes/skips and why Diablo IV got released underbaked.

He’s the reason why WoW got pitiful content updates and Classic left on life-support as devs got pulled to work on non Blizzard properties such as Call of Duty.

I’m glad he’s gone and I hope he spends the rest of his life miserably unhappy.
