The idea of engaging an insurgency is a lot less “wrong” feeling than dealing with threats from your own people.

Honestly I think you guys are boosting this way out of proportion. This is less deadly than the flu’s… simple stomach acid gets rid of it and even alcohol. No meets for theraflu or NyQuil. Just take some henny to the head and stay in bed.
This isn’t exactly the zombie apocalypse…
I don’t think they’re that smart to organize that well. I’m hoping all of the veterans and our officers who are still in the military will calm them the hell down if anyone tries to do something dumb like that.
They deployed the National Guard because this:
Here’s some other info I found on how some of this works, though I haven’t vetted the website:
Go living in Omaha Nebraska ![]()
It is a big enough city, of 600,000 or so, but with plenty of room so things are kind of spread out.
There have been a couple cases, though.
Cool I read your post and I don’t seem to find anything I said debunked
Read a little harder and then reread what you typed. Have a great day.
Comparing apples to apples here… if as many infected persons with the flu vs equal number with coronavirus, you would see many times the death rate. Even if things are being blown out of proportion, and for as many people that say exactly what you are saying right now, store shelves are still empty… places are closing. Events being cancelled and human nature still freaking out.
Yes, more people die from the flu, but when you have as many people infected with COVID19 as the flu, then we can compare how serious it is.
It said drinking water won’t wash the virus into your stomach. I never said drinking water would push the virus into your stomach. Reread what I read then read it again then go ahead and just read it backwards.
Come up to Canada if things gets worse guys,
It’s not so bad yet here,
Sorry you guys down there in USA are dealing with it, let alone with misinformation and panic.
Number of deaths isn’t the only factor in trying to flatten the curve to get a handle on it. Remember: we have no vaccine.
Dude, I’m done speaking to you. It’s far more important that you just act, post and live responsibly and follow the directives of your municipal and state governments.
That is objectively false.
Logic ftw.
Rsweet, you really need to dial back the wanton trolling. It’s tiresome and repetitive. That said, if it was just a few isolated cases like it was at first. I would agree with you. However, it’s now spread across the US and even to states you wouldn’t expect. I don’t think it’s out of proportion now.
And stop getting your advice from social media. It’s bad for your health, and the health of those around you.
Actually, we just can’t say yet.
Alcohol doesn’t cure illnesses, it causes them.
Whew you guys are wildin’. I think I found a forum full of people that bought out all the toilet paper. I wish all of you the best and great health to you and yours. Try not to get worked up by the media. They say anything for clicks nowa days. This virus has been around for atleast 20 years. This is the first times it’s been airborne. It’s not a strong virus. 60,000 people died from the flu last year. Don’t remember anyone talking about it.
I think it’s important to keep in mind that we have flu shots we can give to dampen the affect and still that many people died.
The issue appears to be that since we don’t have any “flu shot” to dampen this, we’re more likely to observe higher infection rates and potentially higher mortality rates. While it may be relatively low, compared to the Spanish Flu 100 years later (killed millions), the repercussions of this on the economy, social stigma, etc may not be cured so easily.
I do agree that getting whipped into a frenzy isn’t good.
Errr no. I bought one package of toliet paper, and one package of paper towels. That’s all I need. Also got some cleaning supplies to clean up around my place, at least until my damaged leg hurts too much to stand on.
