Wise old wolf

Why is the shaman talents that benefit going into ghost wolf form not geared towards staying in wolf form as often as possible?

Case in point spirit wolf: The talent gives stacking movement speed and damage reduction. Nice, but I can do one better. Spirit wolf should cause the next spell the shaman casts to be castable while moving, and grant damage reduction for 4 seconds after going into ghost wolf form.

Why? This would encourage shamans to constantly be going in and out of ghost wolf, and thus utilize the ability to its fullest potential.

Yeah. I mean OK.

Sounds great. As long as it doesn’t cost us anything in return.

Solid plan OP.

Upvoting this… would definately add some flavour to the class…

Why would you want to do that? Extra shapeshifting nonsense is just busy work.

I’d suggest not playing a Druid then.

Shapeshifting adds a fun and more engaging element, instead of lazily standing there, imo.

I stopped playing a druid in Wrath actually, when they made shapeshifting basically mandatory to get the most out of it. In classic and BC, you only needed to shift if you were a ferlawl, oomkin, and to travel around.

I’d rather focus my attention on what is happening with people and enemies around me instead of playing dressup as a furry animal.

Thats why I play Monk as my hybrid of choice now.

That’s what keybinds are for!

I enjoy the flavor it adds for utility and some strategy.

Because shaman shouldn’t be going into ghost wolf as much as possible. They should be going into ghost wolf when the situation deems it necessary. Thus, the talent works fine.

A lot of people do. Druid is the most popular class numberwise now.

But personally, I’d be happier with a druid that only had travel form, flight form, aquatic form, etc. I want to shapeshift for convenience and only fight with my “human” form.

That would most likely cause GW to become a primary rotation tool and cause a rework to it’s core gameplay.

It’s more of an escape/healing tool akin to hunter camo healing and rogue stealth healing.

I miss tree heals. It’s boring seeing the same animations. Plus the glyphs for tree form could have been epic. A missed opportunity there.

i pop ghost wolf EVERY time i have to move in a fight, or anywhere really. ill wolf away 50 feet and then mount because its so natural at this point ot me.

the problem with spirit wolf, is that it takes 4 seconds to ramp up to the 20% reduction. it should just be 20% right away

Paladins had something like this in WoD that required us to toggle a different seal like every 6 seconds. It was so trash, they took our seals with it when they removed the talent in Legion. Careful what you wish for.
