(Not wow related but just asking)
How did it go for you during and after the surgery and the following days? And how long did it took you to go back to eating normal again?

It was fine but be sure to clean properly or you will get a dry socket (infection) and they’ll have to go back in. This happened to me.
Fine they gave me funny gas to get em out. Just as a heads up though, you’ll hear a crunch just focus on something else during that.
It is a scam.
Never got it done.
Never will get it done.
You wish my insurance pays you for that. Just do the cleaning and don’t try to upsell me stuff.
Mine grew in sideways they had to be removed
I think the recovery time for me was about two days before I ate some soft food and about four days before I was back into regular food that didn’t upset my stomach from the medication. Within two weeks I was crunching on things like nachos and pistachios. Best recommendation after wisdom tooth surgery is Progresso soup. Each of the different flavors have very soft ingredients and incredible taste so you don’t actually have to chew as much and can take the items in while also drinking the broth. Definitely take all of the antibiotics to prevent any potential infection and only use the pain meds when necessary to prevent any complications or nausea.
I had 4 removed and it was fine, gets a bit sore after a few hours when it’s done and then you just need to be careful you don’t break the blood clots that form so it heals nicely.
I had two of them removed, they gave me painkiller before removing it . Half my face was numb ![]()
It is supposed to grow.
Every year for about a week. I have a pain where it is coming out.
After that it is gone. But don’t take me as an example or for an advise. Do what you think is best for you.
I am also unvaccinated, eat broccoli and red meat.
Mine was 3 weeks almost a month
but mine were coming in sideways
Drink plenty of water and take full course of antibiotics. It heals rather fast.
It might be tempting but don’t shove any gauze in there for small bleeding; it will dry out the area (like aforementioned dry socket )
Wouldn’t know, I was yanking out the stitches on day one.
I had all four removed when I was about 32, and boy was it unpleasant. The worst part was the soreness in all four corners that lasted about a week, but it gradually got better.
I was paranoid about dry socket, so I was especially cautious about what I ate or drank. I would say I felt pretty close to 100% after two weeks or so. The first five days were the worst, but they barely gave me any painkillers so I had to make them last lol
there was a lot of pain involved with mine simply because I have what’s known as “boxers jaw“. Which means my entire bottom row of teeth were not just sunken deep, but they were actually fused to my lower job bone. So it requires surgery to detach the tooth from the jaw bone, and then grind the rough edges into a softer curvature before stitching the gum line back up. So while chewing was not a problem, there was definitely pain a bit longer than standard, but it was very easily managed after the second day with some ibuprofen.
It sucked and I thank god for heavy narcotics.
edit: ask to be put to sleep. Do not go through it awake.
I had crowding and had to get my bicuspids and wisdom teeth removed (6 teeth total in 1 shot) and had to get braces afterwards.
They wont let you drive if you are seeing an oral surgeon to get teeth removed, and you have to take painkillers. I had my mouth full of gauze to absorb the bleeding, can’t remember how long it was before I started eating solid foods again.
Ya man it sucks.
People are starting to think this is only needed because toddlers are on soft food for far too long keeping their bite from widening out.
Think it took 2-3 weeks for me, but they were all under the gums at the time.
Mine are sideways and impacted with a hooked root that’s too close to the nerve in the lower jaw so could potentially cause permanent nerve damage if pulled, so Eff me I guess.
Oh man. Yeah my upper ones were growing in sideways and doc just yanked really hard and got em out.
I can still feel the pockets where the teeth should be. The bottom ones werent too bad it was just the tops.
Go through it with 0 painkillers and completely awake to make sure the dentist doesn’t do anything sus
