Hey guys:
So, I use headphones all the time on my PC. For WoW, other games, TV, movies, music. I also have a bird that hangs out at my desk for a lot of that, so all of my peripherals are wireless. I’ve lost many, many wired sets of headphones to this bird.
Unfortunately, my bluetooth headphones, despite having a microphone, can’t work as both headphones or a mic simultaneously. I’m told this is a thing with bluetooth headphones, but don’t know if it’s a thing with all wireless headsets.
I’ve been getting by just busting out a second wired headset and microphone every time I need to raid or do keys, but it drives me nuts switching back to the wireless every time I wanna lean back in the chair and watch a YouTube video while AFKing for a few minutes.
Is there such a thing as a wireless pair of headphones with a good microphone, and good sound, that I can use for everything? Any recommendations?
Hey I just noticed this myself - I am using some Sony XB400 wireless earbuds for work - only for music and not talking. I went to try it and discovered I have the same problem with windows 10 and it seems like a well known issue with no fix (lots of hits on microsoft forums with NO solution)
I think gaming headphones would work better regarding drivers that work the mic while listening.
I have the wired version of these, and they sound good enough for music and also the mic is pretty good.

Review:
This is RF - comes with a RF USB dongle and is not Bluetooth.

Interesting. So I just need a wireless gaming headset that operates via dongle rather than bluetooth? Something about BT not have enough bandwidth to work sound and voice at once?
I do like those, but I’d really like to find something that has a fold-up mic to keep that out of the way when not using it.
You could probably find anything that doesn’t use bluetooth for wireless and it will work.

What exactly else is there? Other than the USB dongle, I’m not aware of any other method of connecting wireless peripherals, but if there are better faster ones I’m not aware of, I’m all ears!
IDK for sure. Look up reviews on each individual unit and get one designed for pc use

Yeah, I just wish I knew what the specific name of wireless headphones with microphone both of which do not suck is called.
Just googling “wireless headphones with microphone” is kinda how I ended up with a pair of BT headphones and built-in mic in the first place.
Gaming headsets will probably be what you want as they will clearly be for the purposes of listening and talking at once
