So I’m curious what specs are the winners and losers of next expac? What got a good amount of abilities back and is being taken in the right direction and what specs got ignored?
The best I’ve heard is arms. I know sub is looking a lot better (will still need work tho). What is your spec/s looking like?
I play any of the rogue spec and it mostly just looks ignored/incomplete outside class changes
Currently or are u playing on beta? I am not lucky enough to be in there so I have only seen the changes in words
Hunter has zero useful changes and the whole class is pretty under-tuned for pvp currently.
We actually are getting significant nerfs in the way of a new 6 second cast time for pet rez and adding hunters mark on the GCD for every spec (changes no one asked for or wants).
We got scare beast back? So I guess we can fear the occasional feral or fellow hunter pets who aren’t perma-dead due to the 6 second rez timer.
More dumpster fires from incompetent devs.
Lets hope affliction, MM, enh are OP as hell when shadowlands releases. They deserve it for being absolute trash this whole expac

From the fact.that there have been ZERO changes past the first wave of a couple abilities during the first week of alpha.
Ive heard MM got a lot of good things back and looks to be in a good spot. I was actually thinking of leveling my MM hunter as my 2nd toon behind ele.
Hunters mark to both self cover for imp dispel / Stop restealths / not allow some stealth openers vs like mages if its 60 yard range like before.
Got kill shot
Traq shot so they got a purge back and can purge bops / divine favor heals / and many other important buffs.
Oh ye scare beast as well so being able to fear hunter pets to not allow for ROS use or to cross CC ferals / druids etc looks good too

I’m sorry what? Kill shot is w/e, tranq shot cant even be used by surv atm because it requires a ranged weapon, and scare beast is useless vs anyone above a rival title.

Because the damage of hunter abilities in beta is very low atm, although DMG numbers will still be tweaked so now its w/e.
It is deff coding work, but literally nothing has been done with hunters since the initial wave that gave things like kill shot.
How do you know KS is whatever? Have you tested it? Have you seen logs of it? Show me what makes you think that.
Yeah, lets go along with the assumption that it won’t be usable by survival hunter xd, being able to purge some of the most broken spells in the game off isn’t a good change nope.

Hunters get good utility, biggest concern is 6 second revive pet when pet defensives are still balanced around 2 second CD rez pet

This imo is one the only valid concerns ive seen from hunters is the potential issues with how hunter pets function more as a core of hunters DMG / utility paired with 6 sec rez.
Especially when you take into account things like RoS killing pet , needing uptime from MS and other pet utility.
Locks can control their pets and still gain value from kick / imp dispel etc without losing much value for microing the pet away from dmg.
Hunter pets prolly need to be a little more durable than what im expecting them to be in Slands
I was actually told otherwise for at least MM. This morning buddy was literally telling me he was doing nasty dmg as MM and doesnt even know how the class works fully / staring at his buttons. Im expecting MM to be in a competitive spot in Slands from what ive seen so far / heard.
oh they also got baseline binding shot afaik right and now the talent makes people do 20% less dmg when getting out of the root for 8 SECONDS.
Sounds pretty trash to be able to reduce double melees dmg by 20% every 45 seconds for 8 seconds.
Eh that doesn’t effect me, I’m a survival meme.
One nice thing is I’m not entirely losing Latent poison as its becoming a legendary “talent”, that was very concerning and I was hoping for a couple talent changes (mongoose bite baseline and latent poison a talent in its place) but this works.
