I’m posting here for the first time, because since 8.3 hit I’ve had several instances of my wings getting removed off of me in pvp combat, both the regular AW, and crusade, in holy or ret. I tried to see in details what could have caused this but it doesn’t register that information.
This raises two questions for me :
-is this supposed to be possible ?
-if so how do i prevent it to happen ? because we are wet noodles out of wings, if they can be purged or something, then we are just practically useless.

I saw your profile and realized within few seconds that you are using vision of perfection.
Healing or damage triggers crusade/wings for 6sec.
Also prevent you to use wings when the vision of perfection is active. But when using wings, vision of perfection add its 6sec activation to your current wings and proc the crit effect on templar’s verdict and divine storm.

Well what happened was that I used the ability and within 17s (it lasts 30 with light’s decree) it was gone. VoP or not this definitely got off.
It’s actually 25sec with light’s decree. But what probably happened is vision proced right as you pressed wings and prevented you from using normal wings, that’s my only idea.
Because otherwise I never experienced what you’re describing
I’m sure not, my CD tracker said 1:15 remaining, (CD is 1:32 with my VoP), and I’m using crusade, so it is 30s.

But you got a point, maybe there’s something buggy if we use exactly at the same time as a proc, idk. But it happened to me once in arena as holy, it got off 15s after using the ability, and as ret, around the same.
Nevermind, I saw also you are playing ultimate retribution that procs wings automaticly when someone’s dropping to a % of health. I think it override the current wings active to its own wings without adding it.
I remember playing it in bgs and it transformed my 25sec wings into its own 6sec when it procced so it’s ultimate retribution for sure.
But ultimate retribution cannot be the cause for this happening to me in holy though. And in holy I was running Conflict and Strife major so it was not a VoP proc shennanigan either… Well I honestly do not know what happened there.
Well then now i’m out of answer, but i remember ultimate retribution to change your normal wings to its 6sec and that’s why I never played with it ever again. As for holy 0 idea.
Do you know of an addon that registers offensive dispells ? Details! does not seem to do it (or I’m missing something). I’ll run it and see the next time it happens I guess.
I now know that wings are not supposed to be dispellable, so what happened is quite fishy, and thanks for the answers.
It’s a bug, same thing has happened to me as well. If you use your wings cd and vision procs, the proc is added to your current remaining avenging wrath time.
Not sure what triggers it but more than once I’ve seen wings just vanish right after I used them.
