This mount does not dismount like other mounts. When dismounting, it dismounts you but immediately recasts. You can also not dismount this mount when you are flying.
Mounting/dismount behavior works normally on other mounts.

This issue still exists as of today. At least one other guildmate has complained of the same issues.

Came up with this temporary macro fix:
#showtooltip Winged Steed of the Ebon Blade
/cast [nomounted] Winged Steed of the Ebon Blade
/dismount
Prevents recasting when dismounting, also allows to dismount while flying.
Only issue is that it requires 2 activations when switching from ground to flying mount. Normally if you activate a flying mount while on a ground mount, you’d dismount and cast flying mount in 1 activation. With this macro, 1st activation dismounts you, then 2nd is required to cast flying mount.

I’m here to report that this is still an issue, took me a while to realize it was this specific mount itself. Thank you for the macro idea! But Blizz really needs to fix this, there’s no reason this Mount should behave any differently than another
