Okay there needs to be some serious changes or buffs coming to WW. Im tired of being almost full BiS, parsing high but doing less damage than someone parsing 75. After legion we lost the artifact weapon ability, legendary effects and the set bonus which made us strong and then they nerfed Touch of Death.
I was benched from my mythic guild yesterday, who ive helped get passed ashvane, for other lower dps due to the fact that lm a WW and lm sure im not the only one.
Blizzard seriously needs to buff rising sun kick since its useless to use now or give us back a strong hitting 5 chi spender.
Idk what else they could do but we need something.
I am a brewmaster monk now, lol. Always parsed really well, was not benched but for raiding BM is just so much stronger and other people with viable classes wanted to switch over when starting to go into mythic.
There’s some QoL changes they made in BfA that I appreciate, but I honestly miss the MoP/WoD style of how SEF worked.
That ability is seriously one of the buggiest abilities in the game and it’s really holding back the spec for me. I wish they’d just scrap the ai centered nature of SEF and bring it back to how it was before.
I’m hoping for some serious changes in 9.0, id like to see all 3 monk specs to have some significant game play changes. I really really don’t want to have to put my monk on the shelf just because blizzard wants to be lazy. Alas i’m not expecting much, blizzard is notorious for forgetting about less played classes/specs.
Look… i wont devalue what you say because your opinion is valid and bears consideration.
I will however say, you have no IDEA how good WW monks actually have it. I have been leveling a few characters over this expansion and I have to tell you monks are in a better position than most. They are great in WPvP, BGs, RBGs, Arenas, Regular/Heroic Raiding, and M+. This is not to mention that the class actually is pretty damn fun to play, on top of being relevant in so many facets of WoW.
Not being the most represented in Mythic Raiding (which is all about minute min/max) i am sure sucks for you, but that is not a problem with the vast majority of the player base I imagine.
I honestly wish I had swapped to my WW Monk a lot sooner. Its the most fun I have had in WoW in the last few xpacs.
Thats why the first monk on most of those fights in the logs show about a 10k+ difference on all those fights, even more on some of them. Our single target damage is a joke
I’m honestly at a loss at what i want to do.
rerolling would be the best option since i want to mythic raid but 8.2 has been so alt unfriendly. farming all the essences and the stupid benthic gear to compete just takes too long.
i seriously hope blizzard see’s this and does something for 8.3.
I feel bad for all of you that still play WW in its current state.
I give mad props to those who lead the WW community. And will likley return to Retail if Blizz buffs them.
Loved playing my Monk. Its by far more fun than any other class ive ever played. But watching 3-4 button rotation specs destroy the meter ruined it for me.
