pre patch killed it for me. i liked how it was. bye mr.monk. i won’t even add the talents. it’ll stay like that until you make earth wind and fire a passive again and literally not force me to spec into it or chi blast thanks. really thanks i had never used my monk really and now its back to not using him because i never liked that spell at ALL .
They finally fixed monk and that broke it for you?
it’s a real shame to see a player abandon a spec they didn’t like or play in the first place. hopefully blizzard learns from this.
LOL right? We finally got decent changes that have been universally praised.
There will always be people who are not happy with changes. Like me, I hate what they did to Resto Druid and I’m not sure I’m keen on Balance. And I don’t like Ele Shaman Changes.
It’s a little different. But for me
It does a lot more AoE damage, probably single target as well with a single target build.
They got rid of the ground targeting in our rotation.
It’s a little energy starved now.
But I agree with the sentiment of “I’M GETTING SICK AND TIRED OF HAVING TO LEARN SPECS OVER EVERY DAMN PATCH”
Just when you’re really starting to figure out all the deeper mechanics, surprise… start over.
Then your thoughts on the spec are completely irrelevant.
Sorry, but if you dont play it why should anyone care?
As someone who has mained ww monk for the past year, im happy with the changes we got.
His post was interesting, wanting storm earth and fire to be passive, I remember some of those ppl in the past that really hated the ability for some reason.
I just liked having earth wind and fire be a passive if u wanted. That for me is just going back to why I would not play WW. You are right tho I sure am irrelevant.
I leveled a monk today from 45-70 and thought windwalker was a blast to play.
I love not hitting 1 spell 90% of the time.
Confusion ensues
I find it mostly really fun. The thing that feels awkward to me is the talent that lets us dash to an enemy after rolling near it. I’m not sure i understand how it works. I roll, then press an attack and I dash over, but I don’t actually do the attack? Is that right? It feels very clunky after enjoying the lovely tiger palm dash in DF.
Still loving my WW monk so much!! So sorry OP doesn’t, but we should not expect everyone to love all classes. It’s really not hard to hit earth wind and fire. LOL
Yeah I ended up ditching this on the beta. It caused me more frustration than anything. Especially when using roll to get out of a mechanic then dashing to an enemy to a place I didn’t want to be.
I actually didn’t notice a difference and it is still my favorite.
I managed to skip SEF and summoning xuen in the talent tree. It’s IMMENSELY fun. I’m just not a fan of the more supernatural monk abilities, I play him as more of a brawler.
Will I top meters, no, but none of you would ever have to worry about that.
Wait what they made Earth, Wind and Fire a passive? If so happy they changed it omg that sounds so awful
Ele changes are good if you like fire builds. Bad if you liked 1 button spam fire builds.
And also bad if you wanted Blizzard to deliver on their promise of a lightning build, since that just didn’t happen and they didn’t even try.
Job security for devs. I’ve lost count of how many times go for the throat has gone away and come back in different forms.
