Windwalker Double Jump

Does anyone else think double jump would be perfect for Windwalkers? I feel like we don’t currently live up to our name. I have a few similar ideas and I was wondering what other Windwalkers think about them!

  • Roll can be cast while mid-air and also greatly reduces fall damage taken for a few seconds.
  • Ring of Peace is enhanced with winds, knocking enemies back even further and slowing their movement speed for a short duration.
  • Leg Sweep also sends a Wave of Winds 10 yards in front of you, stunning any enemies caught in its path.
  • Casting Transcendence: Transfer unleashes a blast of winds at your new location, knocking nearby enemies away.
  • Tiger’s Lust surrounds the target with a Tailwind, increasing the movement speed of their nearby allies by 35% for the duration.
  • Flying Serpent Kick can be cast while mid-air and acts similarly to a Goblin Glider for its duration or until you land.
  • Casting Vivify on a target with full health will instead lift the wind beneath their feet, increasing their movement speed by 35% for 1 second.
  • White Tiger Statue is replaced with a Wind Tunnel. Allies who jump while inside the Wind Tunnel will be launched into the air and sent gliding forwards.

These are just a few ways that I think some more spec fantasy and fun could be brought to Windwalker. Let me know what you think, and please add your own ideas as well!

I really like these ideas. However, I think that if you were to incorporate them you would have to do something similar all classes. That might result in a bit of a mess…

Monks my favorite, though, so screw the mess.

Monks in general really need some flavor abilities. I posted it recently in another thread but things like:

  • Double Jump/Higher single jump
  • Baseline increase to movement speed (5-10%)
  • Baseline Fall damage reduction
  • Fall damage nullification with abilities
  • Personal Waterwalking (even in combat)

Its just extremely odd that the other agile leather specs like DH and Rogues get these sort of things but the class whose entire shtick is being THE agile fighter does not. Even more salt in the wound is the fact a lot of the things I’ve listed have been displayed by monk characters in lore.
