I would really love to see an optional node in the skill tree to bring back Expel Harm and Chi Burst as usable buttons. I’m not sure if its because I have low haste at the moment (was optimized for old stats of Crit Vers which are now are lowest prior stats, really cool), or if its just the complete loss of player control over those generators that I previously could weave into my rotation but playing windwalker in current form feels like I have way more downtime in between my button presses while I wait on energy or Chi to be available.
I would love to get some control back over my resource generation and I think that a choice node is the optimal way to do that because it allows this new brand that requires less thought and buttons to be available but would still allow for experienced WW players like myself to be in control over when their Chi is being generated. I have never considered maining another spec until I logged in yesterday and I think these changes would go a long way in mitigating some of my concerns.
Its not all negative though, I think a lot of the new changes are really cool, its just honestly the rotation feels a bit slower (haste will probably help) the loss of buttons is a bad change for me personally but I think the masses will probably prefer this new playstyle, and overall I think the spec is trending in a very positive direction. I would just love the ability to choose if I had buttons to press or if I wanted them automated. I think player choice is really impactful in decisions like this ![]()
